After a very long time, Sen's family was having dinner peacefully without any worries to think about. The little Nia's chattering continued for which there was no end while Aditya's gaze met Naina's, they both had a small smile lingering on their faces and continued to have supper.

Once they were done with having their supper, Nia had already slept after being tired from whole day's banter and playing. Aditya was already in his room on a phone call and the older couple were just about retreat to their room.

"Goodnight mom, dad" Naina wished them for which Archana hugged while Pratap placed his hand on her head with blessings and left for their room.

Naina on the other hand, just like every other night she check up on Nia and kissed her goodnight and retreated to her room.

Entering inside, she closed the door behind her and turned around to see her husband standing in the balcony. Still on the call. Sighing, she grabbed her night dress and went inside the bathroom to change.

When she came out, wearing an light orange shirt and pajama she saw Aditya was no longer standing in the balcony. Instead he was sitting on one the cushioned chairs among two which faced towards the balcony.

'Maybe, waiting for me' she thought.

"Aditya?"

He turned as her soft voice fell on his ears and there she stood all confused. He tilted his head to side, motioning Naina to come and sit on the chair beside him.

With each step Naina took towards him, her fingers wouldn't stop fidgeting.  The nearer she got, the more she was fidgeting which was noticed by him.

"Hey? Calm down.... Why do you always get worked up?"

Aditya whispered looking into her eyes as she sat on the chair beside him.

"Huh?"

"Anyways, here...."

Aditya held a chocolate bar in front of her.

"I am hoping that this one is still your favourite? I do remember the school days"

She looked at it. It was since ages she had chocolate and the last time she had was just two days back. The time really passed, she changed a lot but one thing she couldn't change was the love for her chocolates.

"Here, take it already and stop staring or else I will finish it" he said bringing it close to her face.

On hearing that, she snatched it within a second making him laugh at her.

"You are still the same" he shook his head.

While she was munching on her chocolate, he was busy staring at her. Feeling the gaze, she turned to look into his brown eyes.

As they kept staring at eachother, he was drifted back to the days of their school time were they spent their precious days, together still apart!

Since the day Aditya saw Naina being sad when he had crushed her chocolate unintentionally, he had been looking for the opportunity to bring back the smile on her face. He bought the same chocolate everyday but never could he give her and ended up either eating it or giving away to any one of his classmates.

Then one day finally he had got that opportunity he was waiting for. It was his friend, Rajesh's birthday that day. When Rajesh had given all the chocolates to his friends and teachers, he had also saved some for Naina and her friend Rasika.

During the lunch brake, Aditya, Rajesh and his few other friends were standing in the corridor just like every other day. And Naina and Rasika were going downstairs where the staffroom was. Upon seeing both of them passing through them, Rajesh called out their names.

"Rasika, Naina"

When they turned back to see them standing, Naina looked at Aditya who was standing leaning on the wall.

"Wait here. Just a minute" saying, Rajesh went inside to bring back the. Chocolate box he had carried with him and opened it for them to take.

"It's my birthday! You can take as much as you want" he said knowing that only these two would eat as many as wanted to.

Despite of that, they both were lean which surprised everyone to think how was it even possible to not gain a weight when they eat so much sweets and chocolates. Some even thought that they were blessed with many sweet teeth and wished to be like them.

"Happy birthday!" Rasika said forwarding her hand to wish him to which he obliged.

She took two milky bar chocolate and thanked him. And when it was Naina's turn, she too wished him and was just about take the chocolate when all of a sudden, Aditya grabbed the last remaining two milky bar chocolates.

"Being your best friend, you haven't given me at all when I should be the one to get first" he started as if being disappointed.

"But-"

Even before Rajesh could speak, Aditya tutted and placed a hand on his shoulder and went back inside the classroom.

Naina stood there speechless and thought 'what just happened?'

"Ah... I am so sorry about him, Naina. Here there's still one left for you." He said taking out the dairy milk chocolate of the same kind which she mostly eats.

"Thanks" she said taking it from his hand and smiling, walked away.

Once they were gone, Aditya came out and saw them. Little did she knew that it was his way to give the chocolate to her.

He saw her smile. But somewhere in his heart, he felt something was missing in her smile. He wished it to be him to give her instead of Rajesh.

And now as he saw her eating the same chocolate which he himself had given her. Her lips were all stained with the melted chocolate. She ate like a small child who had never eaten or tasted it, devouring the every taste of it with every bite, just like how she did on that same day Rajesh had given her the chocolate which actually was supposed to be given by him though it was bought by him.

"Was I too late?"

His question was left unheard by Naina as she was too busy in eating the chocolate.

"Did you say something?"

"No, you have got some chocolate here"

Aditya shook his head and pointed at the corner of her left lips. Hearing that, she wiped it with the back of her hand and looked at him while he nodded at her indicating that the chocolate was no more smeared on the corner of her lips.
