Chapter 7

Taehyung woke up the next morning in Jungkook's arms. He looked up to see the demon smiling down at him softly. Taehyung was confused at first, but then he slowly started to remember everything that had happened the night before when he looked down. They both still had on their clothes from the night before. He groaned as everything came to his memory, and he closed his eyes.

"Good morning," the demon said looking down at Taehyung. He had been admiring how beautiful Taehyung was since they had first met, but in this moment, he felt the connection between them.

"Good morning," Taehyung replied.

He looks up at Jungkook and they lock eyes. Jungkook decides that he can't wait any longer. He leans down and presses his lips against Taehyung's. Taehyung just sits there at first processing what is going on. Is he dreaming, or is this really happening? After about five seconds, Taehyung pulled back. He didn't know what was happening or how to feel. Jungkook was confused at first. Didn't Taehyung have feelings for him, or was this one sided? He immediately started to panic.

"Tae, I'm sorry." Taehyung got out of the bed as Jungkook apologized.

"I just need to think," Taehyung said as he walked to the door of his room. He opened the door to step out.

"Taehyung wait!" Jungkook pleaded. The boy hesitated for a moment, but then continued out of the room shutting the door behind him. He walked to Jin's room and knocked on the door.

"Come in!"

Taehyung opened the door slowly and saw Jin sitting in bed with his glasses and laptop. He walked over and sat on the edge of Jin's bed rubbing his head. Jin could tell that Taehyung was thinking hard about something.

"What's up Tae?" Jin asked him as he put his laptop aside.

"Umm, Jungkook just kissed me," Taehyung said out loud. It was different to hear himself say it out loud.

"He what?!?" Jin yelled. He snatched his glasses off and looked at Taehyung making sure he heard him right.

"He kissed me."

Jin couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Okay, let's talk more quietly about this. Yoongi absolutely cannot know about this," Jin whispered.

"Why not?" Taehyung asked, confused.

"It's obvious Tae! Jungkook is your demon. He is supposed to watch over you and make sure you are doing what you are supposed to. Him having feelings for you is a major distraction from his job. I mean, he is a demon so he shouldn't even have feelings at all. That's why I don't understand how this even happened. I knew the first day I met him that he was going to fall for you. I could tell something was different about him," Jin said as it all started to click.

"Wait, what?"

"The first day I came to your house when you started to go viral, Jungkook went off on me when you went to the bathroom."

"About what?" Tae asked the other boy confused.

Jin hesitated. He still felt guilty for what he had done, especially after Jungkook had gone off on him. He hadn't been able to fully accept and deal with what he had done. "He was upset that I told you about the ritual," Jin replied looking down. He couldn't look Tae in the face. Especially not after what had happened the day before. "I'm so sorry Tae and if I could change things, I would! I didn't want to tell you, but I was given the order to, so I fought with them and negotiated that I didn't have to tell you unless you asked, but you did."

Taehyung pulled Jin into a hug. "Jin, it's okay! I know you wouldn't intentionally try to hurt me. It makes sense now why all of the times I asked you, you refused and changed the subject. Plus, that's all in the past now. I need to figure out what to do about Jungkook." Tae laid back on the bed looking up at the ceiling.
