Caitlin's Apartment
Mon sped Caitlin through her front door with his jacket over her shoulders. "Damn. Are we still leaping off buildings?" Caitlin asked.
"No, we are here," Mon said as he guided Caitlin to her bedroom.
"Vodka and alien speed...not a good combination," Caitlin said and Mon laughed.
"So, are you gonna call her?" She asked.
"Who?" Mon asked.
"That girl. The one who gave you her number," Caitlin said.
"I hadn't really thought about it," Mon said.
"Yes, you have. But I know you. You won't," Caitlin said as she started to take her dress off and Mon turned his back to her so she would have her space. "You'll let her slip right through your fingers because you think you don't deserve happiness. But what you don't realize is, you need a little saving, too," she continued but her dress was stuck. "Little help, please," she said and Mon turned to her.
"W...Yeah. Okay," he said before he used his speed to undress Caitlin and put her in PJs.
"There you go again. Saving me from that evil dress," she said before Mon guided Caitlin to her bed.
"Get in bed," he said.
"Did you sneak a peek? At my goods?" Caitlin asked as she got in her bed and under the sheets. "I wouldn't be much of a hero if I did," he said.
"Yeah, but it's okay if you peeked a little. You deserve a peek for all the good stuff you do," Caitlin said and Mon smiled.
"Drink lots of water," he said.
"Thank you for tonight," she said then she whispered. "I sang." Mon continued to smile.
"Any time," he whispered before he tried to get up but Caitlin grabbed his hand.
"Hey, Mon? Will you stay with me until I fall asleep?" she asked as he sat back down next to her.
"Sure, yeah," he said.
STAR Labs
Next MorningCaitlin walked in with her hair in a ponytail and was wearing sunglasses. There waiting for her was Mon, smirking. "Hi," he said.
"So loud," she mumbled as they began to walk to the cortex.
"Oh, ho-ho. I just wanted to make sure you're okay," Mon said.
"Let's just say I envy your inability to get drunk. I don't remember much from last night," Caitlin said.
"Yeah, that's probably for the best. ♪ Summer lovin' ♪" Mon said and Caitlin flinched.
"Oh, God. That I do remember," she said as they entered the cortex with Mon laughing. But in the cortex was Wells, Cisco & Barry, with all serious expressions.
"What's wrong?" Mon asked.
"Hartley's gone," Barry said.
"He escaped from the Pipeline? How is that even possible?" Mon asked.
"I let him out," Cisco said and the two just stared at him. "Are you mad? I can't tell with those glasses on," Cisco said to Caitlin.
"I'd like to yell and wave my arms, but I'm afraid I'd throw up," Caitlin said.
"Why? What were you thinking? You know how dangerous he is," Mon said.
"Hartley said he knew what happened to Ronnie," Cisco said.
"I told you to let it go. I didn't want you looking into that for me," Caitlin said.
"I wasn't doing it for you. I...I sealed Ronnie into the accelerator before it blew. He told me to wait two minutes, and I waited, but he didn't come back. And I can't stop thinking, 10, 20 seconds and...Ronnie wouldn't be like he is right now. I've wanted to tell you so many times. I'm so sorry," Cisco explained as Caitlin approached him.
"So you carried that around this whole time? Do you know what Ronnie would say if he was here? He would say that you did the right thing. It wasn't your fault. What happened that night wasn't anybody's fault. Come on. Don't we have a teleporter to catch?" Caitlin asked.
"We do have a teleporter to catch," Wells said as he wheeled to the computers.
"And fortunately, we do have a promising theory. Take a look at this. Now, this is the normal behavior of the particulate that Shawna left behind. Watch what happens when we remove light," Wells said and the particles changed to still without the light. "Shawna can only become entangled with something she can see. Take away her ability to do that...She can't teleport," Wells said.
"So, we just need to get her into a dark space. How do we do that?" Mon said then Barry's phone rang.
"It's a valid question," Wells said as he picked the phone up.
"Hello?" he asked but then fear filled his eyes. "What? Yeah, I'll be right there. All right," he continued before he hung up.
"What's wrong?" Caitlin asked.
"M...My dad. He's been stabbed," Barry said and Mon stood up then they ran out of the cortex.
Iron Heights Prison
Hospital WardHenry was in a hospital bed, all beaten up, while Joe, Barry & Mon were sitting down with him. "Dad...What happened?" Barry asked.
"A rather stern reminder, I'd say, not to poke around Marcus Stockheimer's business," Henry said.
"Dad, I told you to stop," Barry said.
"Your dad called me with more intel. It helped us track down Clay and Shawna and arrest Stockheimer," Joe said.
"I managed to screw up Marcus's big heist, too, so-" Henry started to say.
"You two kept working together, and you didn't tell us?" Mon asked.
"It isn't his fault. I did it to help you, Henry said.
"You getting stabbed and beaten is not helping me," Barry said.
"Look, I...I...I don't get to feel useful very much here. So if I can help you for a change, I'm gonna want to be there for you. Just like you've been there for me all these years," Henry explained and they took a pause.
"You said Marcus had a big heist coming up? Do you know anything else about it?" Mon asked.
"Dad, tell me who did this to you," Barry said.
"No, it doesn't matter, slugger," Henry said.
"But you said you want to help me. So help me," Barry said.
"One of Marcus's boys. Julius," Henry said and both Barry & Mon nodded, and they both knew who was gonna take care of it.
Outside the Prison
Julius was just reading a magazine in his cell when he was suddenly out of prison. "What the hell?" He asked.
"Evening, Julius." He looked to see a man in a black uniform. Mon-El.
