Elijah was a rather privet man, no family, no friends and no job as far as anyone could tell. He stayed inside most of the time. The only time anyone really saw him was when he was out in his garden or taking walks. He was a younger man, about thirty with dark skin and dark eyes.

He was taking one of his afternoon walks one warm fall day when he decided to take a new path. He came to a trail head that had a rope tied between two trees with an old weather warn sign on it.  He stepped over the rope and began to walk down the over grown path. The dens forest was comforting to him as he continued wandering aimlessly.

He stumbled across a stream that he had never seen before. He walked over to it and spotted an old but sturdy bench on the bank. He sat down on the bench and looked over the stream, watching the water flow. He took out a little note book that he always cared around, and a pencil and began to draw.

Elijah looked up from his sketch and looked over the water again. Movement by a bush, he set his note book down and stood up to try and see what it was better. A young girl emerged from the water and stepped up on the bank on the other side of the stream. Elijah froze, he knew what it was, a nymph.

He recognized the water spirit, he remembered when he was a little boy and was lost in the woods. He ran across the nymph when he was trying to find his way back to his mother. She helped him find her and before he could thank her she diapered.

Now there she was again. She turned around and waved at him, dumbfounded he waved back. She turned again and skipped off into the woods giggling.
