I watch as Amy opens her jade green eyes in the moonlight. If I were to let my guard down at this moment, I would've given the slightest of smiles. But I don't plan on letting her see my soft side.. yet.
"Mmm.. Shadow?" She asked sleepily, rubbing her pretty, green eyes. "It's almost midnight.."
"Come. I have something to show you," I whisper. I point to the blue hedgehog and the rest of the losers and put my finger to my lips.
I step back and allow her to get up. "Would you like to get changed? It's cold tonight, and we'll be going outside," I inform her after leading her into the hallway so we can talk a bit more normal.
"Sure. Give me a second," she replied, going into her room.
Before she closed the door completely, she smiled a small smile at me, one that melts a small piece of my frozen solid heart.
When she comes out, I can't help but smile at her.

You can tell Rouge helped her with her wardrobe, and needless to say, she did a good job.
I pull out my motorcycle keys, showing them to her.
I notice her eyes widening as I take her hand and sneak out the front door with her.
"Where are we going?" She asked, and I got on the bike, handing her an extra helmet which she gladly put on and got on behind me. "You'll see."
~30 minutes later~
"We're close," I inform her, and I can sense her nervousness.
I smile ever so slightly since She can't see it from under my helmet.
We pull into a car garage and I park my motorcycle. I get off before her and help her off my bike and she takes off her helmet at the same time as me. I take her helmet silently, putting it in the seat of the motorcycle.
I make sure the motorcycle won't get stolen before turning to her. "You ready?"
She smiled at me, nodding.
I start walking side-by-side with her, walking on the outside of the sidewalk like a gentleman.
"Well, here we are," I announce, looking at her.
She notices the ice skates icon and starts squealing and immediately looks at me with wide eyes. "Are you for real? This isn't some elaborate prank, right?!" She interrogated me, getting close to my face.
I feel a little bit of heat rising in my cheeks at her closeness and scoff, turning away from her to look through the window, crossing my arms. God, she's so adorable..
"...Can we go inside now, Rose?" I ask irritatedly at how she's making me feel.
"Oh, uhm.. of course!"
I opened the door for her before she could open it and stepped to the side to let her walk inside. "What a gentleman!" She complimented, lightly touching my arm as she passed.
I inhale some of her perfume, becoming immediately intoxicated by her smell and touch.
I wonder how her mouth tastes~ I purr low to where she can't hear it and walk in after her.
I pay for her skates of course and such, and we both sit down on a bench to put them on.
"I've always wanted to learn how to skate!" She exclaimed excitedly, already putting on her second shoe by the time I manage to activate the ice-skating feature on my rocket shoes.
"Well, before you stand, let me help you up," I offer, standing up and holding out a hand for her.
She takes it, and it sends amazing electrical currents all throughout my body, making me shiver.
"Woah!" She let out a small squawk as she almost falls, but I use my other hand to help steady her.
After a few moments, I let her go, since she gained her balance. "Walking is easy once you learn to stand, huh?" She said, looking into my eyes.
I nod, strong and confident on the outside.
I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, but she's melted me completely at this point.
"I'll go on the ice first," I tell her, stepping onto the slippery ice.
I offer both hands out to her, and she steps onto the ice slowly.
Her feet suddenly begin to slide backwards, and I hold her up, chuckling a bit at her. She's leaned up against me, and now scared to move.
"Hey.. stand up straight. Bend your knees a bit, set your feet like mine," I instruct her, and she does so successfully.
"Now I'm going to skate backwards and pull you along slowly, okay? Move your feet as if you're rollerskating, which is side to side when you're comfortable, Alright?"
She hesitated for a bit, but she suddenly got a determined look in her eyes as she nodded.
I began to move, and she did her best to keep calm as she glided across the floor.
"Relax."
~Amy's POV~
I relax just as Shadow said. After a few minutes, I start moving my feet little by little side to side.
Every time I'm about to fall, he catches me flawlessly. Every time I wobble, he steadies me.
After several minutes, I notice that I'm not as shaky anymore.
"I think I've gotten the hang of this, Shadow. Let me go!"
He lets my hands go and I skate easily in front of him, and when I round the corner I turn hard, little ice pieces flying around my feet.
I go all the way around to Shadow and grab his hand and quickly pull him to skate behind me.
~a few hours later~
I feel arms around my body after a little race around the ice skating rink, and I turn my head to see shadow's red eyes staring into mine.
"I'll always catch you, no matter when or where you fall, Rose.." he murmurs, burying his head into my neck for a moment, and I feel myself blush.
He suddenly goes fast, making me yelp in surprise and stumble a bit before gaining rhythm.
"Can I show you a trick?" He asks, and I nod my head.
We go a bit faster, and when we go around a couple times he zooms with me in the middle of the room and stops suddenly, grabbing both of my hands and spinning me around him when he bends down, circling in place quickly.
I squeal with delight and let my right hand go of his and hold it out to where it's hovering across the floor.
Suddenly he lets go of me, and I go backwards on one foot.
I remember practicing a certain move as a kid in the living room.
Let's do this! I think, and I suddenly jump up high and do a triple lutz, landing and still going backwards.
""Oh-ho-ho! We have a challenger, do we?" He smirks, skating after me quickly. "I thought you've never skated before?" He inquired, and I laugh. "I haven't! I pretended skating in my socks and in my bare feet as a kid."
He nods approvingly, and I can't help but blush as he smiles at me a little.
"Plus, I was a dancer as a kid."
"Let me guess: ballet and lyrical dancing?" He joked, making me embarrassed.
I turned my head away from him, ashamed, feeling tears prick the corners of my eyes. Why did I tell him that?
I guess he realizes he was right, because the next thing I know I'm getting endless apologies and a great big hug from what is usually a big, fuzzy grump.
"It's okay, Shadow, really it is. Let's just.. go home, shall we?"
