The door clicked as the strange person successfully picked the lock, creaking quietly as they pushed it open. They paused, listening for any movement within the house, but there was none.
They slowly shut the door and crept to the couch, jumping slightly as they spot three people sleeping peacefully. Their breath hitched, but they calmed down when they saw that those said people were fast asleep.
They gazed down at the two that were cuddled up on the couch, growing envious as they saw the small smiles on their faces. They've always wanted a relationship like that, but they never got it because of this hell they call home.
As they turned back to rummage through the house, they caught sight of the male's face. They knew that face, even though it was partially covered by the woman who layed happily on top of him.
A quiet gasp escaped from them, causing the man on the reclined chair to stir. In a panic, they crouched down behind the couch so that they were out of view, just in case the man had woken up.
He did. The man sat up and rubbed his eyes, blinking quickly so that his sight would adjust to the darkness. The strange person who had broken in crouched into a small ball, praying that the man on the recliner wouldn't stand to inspect.
Much to their relief, he didn't let his curiosity get the best of him and lied back down, falling asleep shortly after. The stranger hidden behind the couch stood back up and tiptoed to what seemed to be the kitchen. They let out a discontent sigh, realizing that this house was much bigger than they expected.
They were here for one thing, and one thing only.
The tears of the one who is immune.
But they didn't know just who exactly was the one with said immunities, so they had been searching for a while.
Distracted by their thoughts, they didn't notice the approaching shadow behind them. Once they finally caught on, it was too late.
A knife was pressed against their neck, causing them to let out a startle squeal. They hesitantly looked up to meet the eyes of the man who was previously asleep on the recliner.
He was pissed, eyes giving off that emotion heavily.
"You have 3 seconds to tell me who the hell you are and why you're here." He growled quietly, not wanting to wake up the sleeping pair that lied on the couch in a tangle of limbs.
"My name is...Jennie." She stated after a few moments of hesitation.
"Well, Jennie." He snarled, scaring the smaller female. "I need you to tell me why you're here before I go fetch the most dangerous person I know."
"I'm here because I need shelter." Jennie replied with a slight shake in her voice, but it was enough to satisfy the huge man.
"There was no need to break in like that then. Also," he leaned in close to her face with a small smirk, making her flush. "You're not very good at keeping quiet. Your entrance was quite the loud one, but you're lucky Y/n is a deep sleeper or she would have had your head and body completely separated within seconds." He finished, backing away with a smug look.
Jennie became slightly irritated when she heard the female's name, but didn't quite know why. The fact that she was getting upset over someone she hasn't even met was very confusing, something her brain couldn't handle at this hour.
"Can you lead me to a place so that I can sleep?" She stated with a tired tone.
"No, I need to wake the others up so that they don't awaken to find some random chick sleeping in this house as well. That's just asking for death." He replied, walking out of the kitchen and back into the living room.
