In the middle of the night, Addison was woken up by a disturbing cry from the unilluminated forest. She sat up in a pool of sweat and crept up quietly towards the window, surprised that Adrien or Noah didn't wake up. Addison saw a streak of blinding light. How could this be possible? Why would anyone go into the abandoned and forlorn forest in the middle of the dark, cold night. Addison whispered to herself, "Could this be related to the story I told in the evening? No, it can't, silly me." She, decided to tell her husband and they told Noah, who was really scared. The light still continued to flash...

Now, they were standing in the middle of the shadowy, dejected and desolate forest, Addison was scared and was standing near Adrien's heels and Noah tightened his grip on Addison's arm. Even though, Noah was fourteen he was still a coward and was still disagreeing to be there in the forest. They had now taken their spots, Adrien was surrounding the truck they had arrived in the forest with, so that he can rescue them if they were in danger and Addison and Noah went to find out and discover who or what the blinding light was coming from. All Addison could think was the ghost story she had told them, and wondered that if it was all true.

Walking around, in the cold forest, they hear the leaves crunch under their feet and noticed that as they got closer to the light, it started to dim away. Addison only thought about Adrien and how he is and Noah was starting to get tired, they were starting to give up and turn away when suddenly, they hear little children laughing in the distance - it sounded pestilential - Addison screamed and Noah has seen her get dragged away in the dark and everything else happened in a quick mysterious flash.

As Noah ran towards the truck, all he could remember was: the depraved laughs of children, shadows running everywhere, the blinding light going crazy and flashing everywhere like a disco ball and a bloody heart that was fresh. Finally, he finds Adrien and hugs his father tight. But, Adrien looks around Noah, and Noah shakes his head. They all cry a lot. Then, all of a sudden they heard a ghostly whisper, "I was bloodthirsty for a heart like always and I take people's one who mention me, and so I took hers..." The ghostly whisper went away and the forest had finally become silent again, waiting for its next victim...
