Flare has always been an ambitious girl and tends to ignore certain rules. She often gets into trouble by her mother which ends up in a lecture that usually gets forgotten by the 19-year-old girl. The one thing that she ignores from her mother's lectures is to never stay out too late on her own. She is convinced that since she has done it plenty of times she will be perfectly fine. Today was going to test that little belief.

It was late at night and Flare was walking through the neighborhood while looking on her phone. She was looking at what people have been posting on social media and occasionally checking to see what her friends have texted her. While staring at her phone she failed to notice a car pulling up beside her. The window rolled down in the passenger seat just a little bit to not reveal who was in the car.

"What's a girl like you doing out so late?" a male voice asked.

"That's none of your damn business," Flare said, not looking up from her phone.

"We can offer you a ride home," he said.

"I'm good so you can go fuck off," she said as she got a little irritated.

There was a moment of silence and the car made a sudden stop against the curb. Flare kept walking and heard the sound of the car door opening but didn't hear it close. She was about to look up from her phone but she was suddenly grabbed by the arm and tugged back hard.

"Hey what the h--!" a large hand covered her mouth and prevented her from finishing her sentence.

She struggled to break free as she was getting pulled back to the car. As they got closer she attempted to use her phone to call for help but it was snatched out of her hand and tossed into a nearby bush. Her eyes trembled in panic as she was shoved into the car which then the man got in the passenger seat and ordered the driver to quickly drive away.

"If you value your life you will be a good girl and be quiet the entire drive," the driver said. "Do I make myself clear?"

"Y-Yes.." she croaked.

"Good," he said.

She hugged her knees to her chest and stared at the floor. Her body wouldn't stop shaking and she had to force herself to not cry. It wasn't long before they arrived at a shabby-looking house and the car parked in the garage. The captors took Flare out of the car and forced her down to the basement which did not smell all that good.

"You better get comfortable girl, 'cause you're going to be here for a long time," one of them said with a grin.

Flare watched as they closed the door and was engulfed in darkness. When she heard the door lock she began to cry softly. She started to realize that she should've listened to what her mother told her and she wouldn't be in this mess. All she can do is hope that someone would find her before something terrible happens to her.
