~DISCLAIMER~ If i owned Naruto, i would be in heaven. ( I don't own naruto and its characters )

He had seen her once or twice in his life. Hinata Hyuuga lay there, motionless in his arms. The girl whom he never really noticed. The pale moon shone softly around them as he stood there in the middle of the lake. He could have just let her drown, he could have. But somehow, he couldn't bring himself  to do it.

Sasuke Uchiha was not that merciless avenger he thought he was.

She was alive, he could feel her chest moving up and down against his skin. As he waded up the sandy shore, the limp girl in his arms gave a sigh. Grunting to himself, Sasuke laid her down on the soft sand away from the water and lit a fire. Her raven locks were splayed everywhere like a fan as she lay curled up on the sand. How crazy was she?! Trying to escape from Kabuto's lab!  Congratulations to her for escaping, not many people who ran for it made it out alive. He didn't blame her for trying, that place was so insane it even drove him crazy. Plonking himself on the sand next to her, he sat there, warming himself up next to the fire.  As rays of moonlight filled the lake  shore, Sasuke started to ponder. He wondered how she managed to escape. It took alot of skill and strategy to free ones self from the lab. Sasuke turned his head around to gaze at the shivering female behind him. Her face was pale and slender.

She looked like a doll. It seemed she was smater than she looked.

Then, it hit him. How stupid could he get! He had rescued her from a lake. Which meant she was wet, which meant her clothes were wet, which then led to her being cold. Leaning over, Sasuke picked up the girl, and placed her near the fire. He removed her jacket, which revealed a simple white shirt underneath.

"She'll have to keep that on, hopefully it'll dry by the fire" He thought to himself as he laid the jacket on the ground beside her.

There was no way he was going to take the track pants off. Definetly not.

Once again, he turned to her face and studied it.  Long eyelashes, high cheekbones a serene smile. She was definitely in that Laboratory for a few days. If she could maintain that type of complexion, the amount of time she spent in that lab was at least a maximum of five days. Sighing to himself, Sasuke lay down beside her. The shivering had stopped. And that was a good thing. Reaching out, he gently touched her skin. It was as cold as ice. And that was NOT a good thing. Sitting up, Sasuke took off his own jacket and placed carefully on top of her. That was the best he could offer. Lying back down beside her, he closed his eyes and drifted off.

As the light filtered through the lake shore, Hinata slowly opened her eyes. Beside her, a fire still crackling and burning from the night before was still alive. The water was clear, the sand was soft and she was nice and warm. But something there was not quite right. The last thing she remembered was being tackled down by some monstrous creature at the bottom of the lake. Was she in heaven?!  No, she can't be. There was this smell, a strong and husky smell. A smell that seemed all too familiar. But she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Sitting up, Hinata looked around. As she stretched her arms, she noticed that the material sitting on top of her was not purple, but white. Puzzled, she looked at the jacket in curiosity and examined it. As she turned it around, fear struck her. On the back of the white jacket was a symbol. A symbol that all of Konoha feared.

It was a red and white fan.
