Chapter 37 - I am sorry manik!

Manik is seen standing outside hospital near a park, gazing at nothing particular. He can't explain how he felt seeing nandini on that hospital bed lifeless and when he saw her eyes open he felt like his life is returned to him. But he couldn't say anything at that moment. He was hurt upset with nandini thinking she didn't trust him. She didn't shared her problem with him. He felt like he failed as a husband. Now also his soul shivered thinking of nandini on that hospital bed lifeless. So without saying anything he left from there. He couldn't say her anything. He just couldn't.

Sighing he went inside again but was not ready to face her so stood outside her room. She was looking lost though all the family members were trying to divert her mind but she was not paying attention to anyone.

Manik slowly entered the room and stood there. Nandini's eyes not leaving his face and he was aware of her gaze but couldn't looked at her as he didn't want her to see his vulnerabilities.

Nandini whispered his name and as his all attention was on her he was able to listen her soft voice.

Nan: manik

He looked at her but before she could say anything the doctor came inside to check her and manik sighs in relief as he didn't want to say anything and then regret.

Doc: Mrs. Malhotra how are you feeling now?

Nan: I am fine doctor just a bit pain in the hand.

Doctor nodded and put a sling on her right hand for support.

Nan doctor when can I go home?

Doc: Mrs. Malhotra you can go home by evening but I will suggest full bed rest.

Nandini nodded and the doctor went from there.

Swarna came towards her and caress her face.

Sw: pata hai kitna dar gaye the hum.

Nandini bent her head.

Sw: aage se aisa kiya na toh zor se ek thappad lagaungi samjhi.

Nandini nodded and hug swarns tightly and harshvardhan caress her head.

They broke the hug and nandini looked at aryaman who was standing there with his head down.

Nan: arya

Aryaman looked at her with guilty eyes and nandini opend her arms. Arya went towards her and hug her.

Arya: I am sorry bhabhi!

Nan: hey sorry kisliye ha?

Arya: woh mom ki wajah se

Before he could complete nandini broke the hug and cupped his face.

Nan: chup ek dum chup phir se sorry bola na toh I'll slap you samjhe isme tumhari koi galti nahi thi.

Arya: aap thik ho na bhabhi

Nandini nodded and everyone smiled seeing their bond.

Ten everyone left the room and manik was about to go but nandini held his hand and everyone left leaving them alone.

Manik didn't turned but when nandini called his name.

Nan: manik

Manik tightly closed his eyes controlling his tears still his back was facing him.

Nandini again called him and he opened his eyes and turned towards her with a blank face.

Man: why

Nan: manik I...

But before she could complete he left her hand and again with a blank face said.
