We  headed down another hall and turned right and went up a set of stairs.

"Hey man, you were really lucky to meet me, there some of us out there that are real bad news. They woulda just ripped head off or something, don't worry we're almost there, by the way, Rose....she owns The Sanctuary." Said the guy.

We got to a set of stairs were a bouncer was standing, he looked at me and the other guy and stepped aside. I stepped into an office, in front of me there was a large oak desk with a computer on it, and a large window overlooking the main dance floor. To my left there was a large flat screen T.V bolted onto the wall, with a coffee table and a large leather couch in front of it. I saw a woman leaning against the window, I'm guessing that was Rose.

"Hi Tom, I see you brought a guest. Nice to see you again, was the drink OK?" said Rose turning around. It was the woman from the bar!

"Hey Rose, this dude has like got no idea whats happenin', can't remember a damn thing." said Tom.

"And he's here all alone?"

"Looks like it."

"Hello, I'm still here! Could you tell me whats going on? I have no idea what you're talking about!" I butted in.

"You're a...." Tom was cut off.

"Vampire. A vampire like Tom and me." stated Rose.

"Yeah, right. Thanks for the drink, and no offense, but I'll just be going now..." again I was cut off by Rose.

"Tom, show him."

Next thing I know Tom has a gun pointed at me and fires it at me! Suddenly, somehow I teleported myself to the other side of the office in the exact same smoke I saw in my flashback.

Were these connected somehow?

"Hey, neat trick man!" shouted Tom.

"What..?" I muttered.

"You automatically resorted to your vampire abilities out of pure reflex. Not bad, you seem to be a natural. Thank you, Tom. I'll take care of our guest now. You can go back."

"Yo, later man." said Tom leaving the office, while I was still coming to terms with what just happened.

"So...?"

"My names Eric, Eric Bane."

"Well Eric, I'm Rose. I hope our little demonstration convinced you."

"I don't think I have any alternative."

"That's is correct, right now you also have a much bigger problem you need to take care of. You are not a fully fledged vampire and that.....has some drawbacks." said Rose with concern in her voice.

The only thing going through my mind right now was questions I want answered.

"How come I'm not a full vampire yet?" I asked.

"If a vampire drinks your blood and kills you in the process, you will turn into a vampire yourself. However, that alone does not complete the transformation.

First you have to drink your creators blood. Only then will you be a fully fledged vampire."

"And since I don't know who made me a vampire, that's kinda a problem...."

"Exactly. A vampire doesn't just create another vampire for no reason, we try to hide our very existence from humans and every new comer increases the risk of being discovered. Your creator put us all at risk when he or she just left you behind. No vampire would willingly call down the wrath of all the others upon him or herself. I suppose something must have happened to him or her."

All of this information was a lot for me to handle, but, Rose was doing her best to break it down for me.

Rose was tall about 5' 6" without the heels on. Pale white covered in tattoos with long black hair put into a messy pony tail. I'd say she was in her late twenties and was quite beautiful if I say so.

"And what happens if I don't drink his or her blood?"

"You really don't want to know, I have no idea exactly what happens when someone becomes a vampire, but if you don't get the right blood, your brain starts to deteriorate. You will become more and more of an animal, until you finally lose all of your humanity." said Rose sounding pitiful for me.

I was beginning to get adjatated more and more by the second and fear was spreading through me like a house on fire. All I could do was nod my head at everything Rose was telling me.

"We call these pitiful creatures 'Ghouls'. Believe me, you want to avoid becoming one of those at all cost."

"Do I have any options?"

"Ah yes. The blood of an ancient and powerful vampire can theoretically replace your creators blood. But I'm talking about vampires that have been in the business for several decades, you won't find anyone like that in The Sanctuary, but I do know of someone."

I was starting to see some hope for myself now, and I was determined to do anything if it meant not turning into a 'Ghoul'.

"His name is John Blooming, he's the director of the Harding Museum downtown. Blooming is not a nice man and he's not likely to give you his blood voluntarily."

"It's not as if I have much of a choice...."

"That's certainly true.... however, you should talk to Tom before you head off. He can give you a few tips on how to control your vampire powers."

"Thanks a lot, Rose." I sighed.

A few moments of silence passed by and I decided to ask Rose about her expirience on being a vampire.

"Tell me about yourself and how you became a vampire?"

"Me? Well it's been about 10 years since I was a normal human and I own this club, and I look after the young vampires, such as yourself...but I don't really want to talk about myself right now. Maybe some other time." said Rose.

"Got it, al see you around" I said waving, off out the office now to find Tom and do some vampire training, this will be fun.
