Clawfur smiled as the river water lapped against his sides. He was the only cat in DarkClan that actually enjoyed swimming in the river. All the others liked to climb the tall bare trees or run in the feilds. But not Clawfur, he loved the water.
Clawfur turned around sharply as someone called his name. Usually he didn't pay much attention to the other cats but he knew this voice, and took care to listen to it.
"Clawfur, come on, it's time for my warrior ceromony!" Rainpaw called from the bank of the river. Her blue fur almost blended with the water where as Clawfur's stuck out like a rose in a desert or snow in new-leaf.
"Coming Rainpaw!" Clawfur called as he shook the water from his sandy colored pelt. Once he was done with that he and Rainpaw headed back. They stepped into the camp and could already see Dimstar sitting atop his perch by the great dark pine tree. Clawfur hurried forward, he was deputy so had a specialplace in meetings by the leader.
Once all of the clan had gathered and Rainpaw, Windpaw, and Duskpaw where ready Dimstar called for attention.
"DarkClan, it is time that we bring to attention the becoming of new warriors," Dimstar puased for dramatic affect and brushed him dark brown fur . "Rainpaw please come forward," Clawfur smiled at his apprentice, Duskpaw, but the young copper colored tom only stared back at him."Your mentor has said that you are ready, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of you own life?"
"I do." Rainpaw's voice was strong and promising.
"And do you promise to pass on your skills to anyone in need, and to fight for the clan?"
"I do!" Rainpaw grinned.
"Then I name you Rainfern, StarClan appreciates your loyalty and cunningness, you are now a full warrior of DarkClan!"
The clan cheered louder as the ceromony went on. Windpaw was named Windtail and Duskpaw was named Duskheart. The three new warriors padded off to meet the senoir warriors and Rainfern met up with Clawfur.
She followed him into the warriors den, where he showed her where her new nest would be. After a while Clawfur left to get some fresh-kill. He picked a plump magpie he had cuaght earlier that day and dimolished it in a few famished bites.
By now Clawfur was very tired. He finished his meal and headed for the warriors den. He sniffed the air, just incase.
His eyes widened. "Wake up, LightClan is invading!"
