Nakashima Aiko. Daughter of one of the wealthiest companies in England. She's the type of child parents would only dream of having. But..
"She ran away AGAIN?!" Maya Nakashima, her mother, exclaimed. The bodyguard who reported the information flinched. "It appears she snuck through the roof this time." He said nervously. "Not only that, we believe she.. boarded a plane to another country, to ensure that we have a difficult time finding her."
A vein popped on her mother's temple. "Do you know where she went?"
"Not at the moment, no."
She pounded on the wooden surface of her desk, sending cracks to appear on the ground. "Find her immediately. This is getting very old, very quickly. And be sure her escape is not to be leaked onto the news. Tell everyone she was kidnapped if asked about it."
"Yes, ma'am!" The guard scrambled out of the room.
Nakashima sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance. "This is getting out of hand, Aiko.." She muttered. "I know you want to find your brother, but.." She looked at the portrait hanging on the side of her office. It was a painting of a young man and woman, beaming happily, and a little boy and girl. The girl was doing a peace sign, and the boy was sticking his tongue out.
"This was the last straw."
THREE YEARS LATER
Combing her hair with a brush, Nakano Asteria looked at herself in the mirror to look more presentable. She straightened the bow on her uniform and grinned. "Perfect," She stated. Turning around, she picked up her school bag just as the television international news channel started talking about something else other than the weather.
"So what do we have to cover next, Avery?" The person asked the other reporter, Avery. She smiled sadly and said, "well, folks, it's been three years since the famous Nakashima Aiko was discovered kidnapped from her very own home. To this day, no one knows where she is. Her mother, Nakashima Maya, has put out 797,350.00 pounds, or 1 million dollars, as a prize to finding her daughter-" Beep. Nakano dropped the television remote as she put on her shoes and went out into the world.
It was quite early in the morning, so there were only a few students walking to Karasuno High; Nakano being one of them. She liked to wake up early to feel the cool morning air on her skin. The sunrise was a bonus, too; although she sometimes hated how distracting it was.
Arriving at school, she changed into her school shoes and headed for her classroom. The few students that hung around in the hallways stared at her as she passed them, and murmurs and whispers followed soon after. She smiled and waved at all of them and went to Class 1-4. She sat at a desk and took her headphones, placed them over her ears, and clicked on her music.
Nothing like music to top off a calm morning.. She thought as she stared out the window, humming quietly to herself. She watched as the sky grew brighter, and before she knew it, the classroom was swarming with students. She saw them staring at her in the reflection of the glass, but she ignored them, as she was used to it.
It would be nice if someone would actually talk directly to me, instead of gawking at me for not looking Asian..
Nakano could see how they pointed at her; how they whispered. She was used to it, but it still made her feel uneasy. She was thankful that the teacher went into the classroom, as she didn't want to deal with the pointing and stares. She took off her headphones and left them hanging around her neck as she took out her notebook to write notes.
Tsukishima, who was sitting in front of her, was annoyed that people were staring in his direction.
Can't they stare some other time? He thought. It's so distracting.
《--------------------》
By the time the period was over, Tsukishima was thoroughly pissed off. As soon as the bell rang, he glared at the students staring.
"Can you all just knock it off?" He snapped. "Stare when I'm not around." He stood up harshly. "Let's go, Yamaguchi." And off he went.
"Wait up, Tsukki!" Yamaguchi said, running to keep up with the annoyed lamppost. "Are you alright?"
"People staring in my direction really pisses me off." He responded.
Meanwhile, with Nakano-
Should I get something carbonated or juice? She pondered at the vending machines. Her jacket started vibrating, and she pulled out her phone.
"Hello?"
Inserting a money bill and pressing a button, she knelt down and picked up her drink.
"That's none of your concern~"
She took her change from the machine and shoved it in her other pocket, then poked a hole through the top of the drink with the straw provided.
"It's lunch, that's why-!"
She looked up to find three third-years surrounding her.
"That looks like a pretty expensive phone." One of them said, pointing.
"And pricey headphones."
"You also put a bunch of money in the machine with just one bill, and took out a bunch of change. You're a pretty rich girl, eh?"
Nakano only stared at them, still on the call.
"Care to spare money with us, girlie?"
"Hold on for a moment, please~" Nakano said into the phone.
"Hold on-?" The leader of the three asked.
With a blink of an eye, they didn't see Nakano anymore. Bewildered, the one blocking her right was suddenly covered in a shadow. He looked up to see the girl acting like he was a hurdle, jumping over him. She landed gracefully and started sprinting at incredible speeds.
"Heh, sorry about that! You were saying?" She asked the person on the other line, sipping her drink as she ran.
Tsukishima and Yamaguchi were staring in shock, as they saw the whole fiasco go down.
"Did you see that, Tsukki?!" Yamaguchi exclaimed. "That girl, she just jumped over that six-foot-tall boy! And her sprinting is incredible!"
"I saw, all right.." Tsukishima muttered. "The king also saw."
"Eh? Kageyama saw, too?"
"He usually gets milk from that vending machine. See?" He pointed to Kageyama, who was as shocked as the two of them
