I get out of the shower, with an uncontrollable smirk. I walk toward my room and look at the door, I have to say, Teddy did a great job, installing the lock. I thought I could just take it off. Maybe I'll ask my father to take it off for me. No need to think about that now.
What am I going to wear?
I'll go with a classic, black high-waisted jeans and a black tee-shirt. I put my hair up in a high ponytail. I take my purse, my coat and another hat. I open the front door. I'll have to change the lock on my door too, or just ask for the double of the key. I go down the stairs and head outside. It's cold, but there is no wind. Like my Google assistant said earlier, "Today it'll be partly cloudy with a forecasted high of 5 degrees celsius and low of minus 11, right now it's 3 degrees celsius and partly cloudy." I don't know why but I've always liked the male voice more.
I look at the time, it's 2:30 PM. I walk toward the mall and feel the fresh air going through my nose. I don't know if I like that more than summer. I look at the sky and the blinding sun. I love that color, it's just so vibrant. I'll buy something with a similar glow. I cross the street and run a little bit to hold the door for an elderly.
-Thank you.
-You're welcome.
I smile and while she walks past me, she says:
-You have a beautiful smile.
I turn back.
-Thank you...
She is not there anymore. How strange.
I walk inside the building and stop at my favorite store. I really like skin-care products, so how can I not buy a little something for my parents and me. I head out and look at the place where my parents used to take me when I was younger. It's so quiet. We can only hear the distant conversations of the people walking away. There is a glass ceiling that lets the natural light come in. The echo is so great, I can hear my own steps. There is a fountain in the middle. You can hear the soothing sound of the water pouring into the small pool. I've always had something for water. When I'm near a source, wether it's the ocean or a lake, my body instantly calms down and unwind. Just like when I look at the stars. I look at a clothing store, I need to buy a new dress. I walk in and stop in the dress section. The employees look bored, that's odd, I mean it's the holiday season, isn't it supposed to be more crowded? That's fine with me, I don't like big crowds anyway. They aren't coming to help me. The dresses are all either too shiny or too bright. I don't want to stand out, I don't want to draw too much attention. I spot a dark small dress with large straps for the shoulders. I touch the fabric, it's soft. I see a blue one too, dark blue with long sleeves. Again the fabric is really soft. I can try them both. Where are the fitting rooms?
There they are. Someone doesn't look happy to work today. She is on her phone tapping frantically with her nails, probably sending a text or something. I walk toward the girl and the desk in front of the fitting rooms.
-Hi! I would like to try these two dresses. If it's possible?
She doesn't look up, it doesn't seem like she heard me.
-Please?
-I heard you perfectly fine, the first time.
-I'm sorry.
-How many items do you have?
-I thought you heard me.
She finally looks up at me with snake eyes. It looks like she is going to spit venom at my face.
-Two dresses.
She gives me a sign with the number 2, written on it.
-Please make sure that you don't stain them while trying them on. Don't take too much time.
