"I had a great time today, Bucky,"

We currently stood at my doorway saying our goodbyes. I didn't want the date to end, but it was almost one am and we had to wake up for training in five hours.

"Me too," He smiled, "See you tomorrow?"

I looked into his eyes, a cloudless blue sky before nodding and watching Bucky wave me goodbye before he entered the elevator. I hope he would've kissed me but I guess not. I slowly closed the door with a smile and got ready for bed. Today was a good day, and I can't wait for Bucky and me to explore our relationship.

Yeah, that happened two months ago.

That amazing, life-changing first date, happened two months ago and nothing more has come. Our training was normal, without any tension this time, and we said our goodbyes at noon like usual. Did I do something? I pushed the thought aside as I waited for Olivia at the cafe. We decided since today is our best friend's birthday we'd meet up to celebrate.

"Sorry I'm late, I accidentally burned the cake I was making," The brunette laughed and set her coat behind her chair.

October was pretty chilly so residents had to start adding a coat to their usual outfits.

"Hope it's still good!" I handed her a menu.

I already ordered my coffee five minutes ago and decided I wasn't hungry enough to finish a meal. That's when I looked off to my right and saw a familiar face. He sat across from a girl with long blonde hair.

"Oh my god, that's Bucky," I pointed him out to Olivia.

"Wait isn't Bucky your boyfriend? Why is he on a date?"

"One, he kind of...I don't know...seemed to lose interest in me, and two, how do you know?"

"Because the girl has the coffee date outfit and is doing that date flirting stuff, plus if you look at his eyes he's clearly showing an interest,"

I looked down and stirred the hot beverage in front of me, "Oh,"

"Hey YN, don't take it personally. You two just weren't a match,"

The realization hit me, she was right. Just because I was slowly falling for him, doesn't mean he felt the same way. It's not like we're soulmates, we just aren't going to work out.

"You're right," I looked into Olivia's brown eyes, "Let's get on with our day then, forget this,"

"Yes! I really am sorry it didn't work out, but I'm here to make it easier for you,"

"I love you so much Olivia, I really missed you when you moved,"

"I love you too, hoe, and same it was dreadful,"

Her coffee was ordered and delivered after a few minutes. We finished our drinks as we caught up with each other's lives and laughed at our own stupid stories. It felt good finally having a friend other than Bucky.

"So what should we do next?" I asked as we exited the cozy shop.

It may have been cozy, but the feeling of Bucky on a date bothered me slightly. Okay, YN, relax. He might not be on a date.

"Hmm, we could just walk around for a little, I have to get back to work in an hour,"

"Oh yeah, you work...That's fine, walking sounds great actually,"

She beamed and we looked at the various shops around the town. A small shop caught our eyes so we decided to go in and look at the new products. I opted for a new face cleanser and also found a cute tracksuit I could use for training and Olivia got a small eyeshadow kit.

"Ooh, that's cute," Olivia said when I logged my purchase for the tracksuit.

"Right?" I smiled and tucked the goods into a brown bag.

"I had a fun time, we should do this again next week like usual,"

"Definitely! I'll see you next Friday!"

I really wish the soul world had phones, it would've made communication way easier. We have to send letters that arrive in an hour so it's kind of slow. I entered my room and set the paper bag onto my bed. Sometimes I never want to leave the soul world, would it be so bad to stay here forever? Whenever I go to bed I wonder if I'm ever going to wake up and see my friends and family again. A part of me never wants to wake up and leave this world.
