Everything Changes In One Year

Chapter 3

Levy's POV
I wake up to find Lucy sleeping on Natsu, who's also asleep. Smiling I grab my phone and take a picture, sending it to Erza and Juvia. Standing up I go to the kitchen and make some breakfast. A few minutes later Natsu walks in, Lucy following closely behind. "Good morning, I'm making some breakfast." I say as they sit at the table. "You didn't have to Levy, I would've made it." Lucy says, yawning. "But this is my apology to you." I say, grinning evilly. "Apology for what?" Lucy asks, glaring at me. "You'll find out later."

Lucy's POV
I don't like the way Levy said that, I have a feeling it'll involve Erza and Juvia. I look over at Natsu who's still half asleep. Smiling to myself I get up and make some coffee, pouring three mugs. "You might want to pour two more. Erza and Juvia are coming over." Levy says, grinning at me. With a sigh I pour two more cups before setting up the table with Levy serving some plates. Just as we finish I hear a knock on the door. Walking over I open it, revealing a grinning Erza and Juvia.

After breakfast we all move to the living room. Taking a seat on my sofa I wait to see what Levy was talking about earlier. "Natsu it's time for you to leave." Erza says, pushing him out the door. As the door closes all the girls come sit beside me, grinning. Grabbing her phone Erza pulls up a picture of me sleeping on Natsu's chest. My face heats up, a blush spreading over my face. "Levy! How could you?" I whine, embarrassed. "We have to go now, it's time for you guys to confess to them." I say, changing the subject.

Erza's POV
Everyone agreed that I was going to confess first. I'm starting to regret agreeing to this. I had called Jellal earlier and asked him to meet me here. He's late, a few more minutes pass and he still hasn't shown up. I'm starting to think he won't come after all. Turning toward where Levy and Lucy are hiding I sigh. "They don't exactly have the best hiding spot." A voice says behind me, making me jump. Turning around I see Jellal trying not to laugh. "You're late." I say, glaring at him to hide how flustered I am.

I walk away from where Lucy and Levy are hiding. Sitting at the edge of the river I wait for Jellal to take a seat beside me. "So I was wondering about that 'fiancé' of yours." I say, watching his reaction. He starts to fidget, obviously nervous. "When's the wedding gonna be?" I continue teasing him. "About that." He says, still fidgeting. "I'm kidding Jellal." I say, watching him relax. "I always knew you lied about that." I say, hiding my grin. He looks away, hiding his reaction. "So why did you lie?" I ask, my voice quiet as I get serious.

Jellal's POV
"I don't know." I say, answering Erza's question. "Is it because you were too nervous to show your feelings?" She asks, looking at the sky. "No, I wanted to protect you. Though you hardly need protecting." I reply, sighing. We sit there in silence for a while, just enjoying each other's company. I hear a soft "ow" and look over at Erza with a questioning look. "Stupid bugs." She says, rubbing her arm. After a few seconds she grabs my arm and forces me to face her. Before I can do anything she surprises me with a kiss.

Lucy's POV
Without anyone noticing I snap a picture of Erza kissing Jellal. I'm so showing this to Mira! I think to myself, satisfied with my work. I watch as they break apart, Jellal grinning like an idiot. After a second Jellal looks around. "Your friends are watching aren't they?" He asks Erza. She nods as we walk out. "Where's Juvia?" She asks, looking behind us. I point to the river behind her where Juvia is rising out of the water. After Juvia joins us we all hug Erza, leaving Jellal slightly confused. "We're so proud of you!"

After explaining everything to Jellal I ask him if he wants to join us for the other confessions. After thinking for a moment he nods, taking us to a better hiding spot. "So who's next?" Jellal asks, already enjoying himself. I point to Levy and shove her out of our hiding spot. She calls Gajeel and we wait. After what seems like an eternity Gajeel finally shows up. "Hey shrimp, what's up?" He asks, using his nickname for Levy. "Well I uh... wanted to ask you something." She says, fidgeting with her dress nervously. "Will you go out with me?"

Levy's POV
I can't believe I actually said it. I can feel my face heat up as I blush, waiting for Gajeel to answer. After a few seconds of silence I look up at him. He laughs, grinning. "Course I will shrimp." He says, picking me up and kissing me. I can feel my heart beating a mile a minute, about to burst from my chest. Finally breaking apart for air he sets me down, still holding me. I finally told him how I felt and he returns my feelings, I can't help but smile with relief.

Lucy's POV
I wasn't expecting Gajeel to kiss her, but it was so cute. I even managed to get a photo! I look over at the couple, now walking in this direction. "Over here Gajeel." Levy says, leading him to us. As he sees us he stops, surprised. After explaining everything again I push Juvia out and she calls Gray. "So how come I wasn't able to smell you guys?" Gajeel asks as we wait. "Because I cast a spell that would mask our scent." Jellal says, just as Gray shows up. Putting my hand over his mouth I shut him up.

Gray's POV
I have no idea why Juvia called me here, and why she sounded so nervous. I see her and wave as I walk over. "Hey Juvia, what're we doing here?" I ask as she runs up and hugs me. "I wanted to ask you a question." She says, face buried in my chest. "Well ask me." I say, pushing her off a little bit. "Will you date me?" She asks, staring up at me with big eyes. I wasn't expecting her to ask something like that but I knew what my answer would be. "Yes." I say, watching Juvia's face light up.

Juvia's POV
I can't believe he actually said yes! I'm so happy I feel like I'm melting. Pulling Gray into a hug I look to where my friends are hiding, knowing what they want. After a few seconds Gray pushes me away slightly and tilts my head up. I look into his beautiful eyes, feeling a blush dust over my cheeks. We stare at each other, not saying anything. I can feel his hand on my back pulling me closer, his other hand caressing my face. Leaning in he kisses me, making my heart leap with joy.

Lucy's POV
I'm so happy for Juvia, she's finally with Gray. After snapping a picture of them kissing my collection is complete. I quickly send them to Mira before putting my phone away. Running out I tackle Juvia in a hug, the other girls following quickly. Gray looks over at us, trying to figure out where we came from. I hear Jellal explain everything to him as we congratulate Juvia. After a few minutes we all sit down in a circle. "So Lucy, when are you going to confess to Natsu?" Gray asks, the other boys echoing the question.

Natsu's POV
After Erza kicked me out of Lucy's apartment I walked around Magnolia, not knowing what to do. As I walked around I saw Jellal walk past me, not long after Gajeel walked past, going in the same direction. When I saw Gray walking that way I followed him, wanting to know what was going on. I watched as Gray met up with Juvia and they talked for a little bit before kissing. A few seconds later Lucy, Erza, and Levy jump out and tackle Juvia, Jellal and Gajeel behind them. I watch as they all sit down and talk.

The noise from the nearby cafe makes it impossible to hear them. I move a little closer so I can understand what they're saying. "You should confess to him today." I can hear Erza saying. "But what if he rejects me?" Lucy replies. "I'm sure he won't, so you should tell him how you feel." Levy encourages her. Lucy's going to confess to someone? But that means she doesn't like me. I think, my heart breaking. I leave without listening to the rest of the conversation. It was foolish to think someone as amazing as her would love someone like me.
