The Next Day
Marinette's Point of View
I woke up around eight in the morning and began getting ready. I wore my pink jeans, a white shirt, and a light black blazer. Afterward, I began brushing my black hair and teeth. Once I was finished, I headed out to the tenth floor for some food.

However, now I realize that we were on our own when I saw that nobody was here. I guess we need to check inventory. I went to the kitchen and found out that we had enough food for the week, but we still need to figure out the food aspect soon. I began preparing breakfast for myself until I heard the kitchen door open.

"Nobody else is here?" A familiar male voice says as he enters the kitchen.

"No, but we have enough food for employees for the week. This is insane though; I need to figure out how the food supplies are going to work for tomorrow." I explain, focus on making food.

"What are you cooking?" He asks.

"Pancakes, but I'm not sure how everyone else's food will function." I say, still focused on the pancakes and decided to make extra for whoever was with me.

"Well, at least you have me to figure everything out." He says in a reassuring voice and I turn to see Luka. What the heck is he doing here?!?

"What are you doing here!?!" I say nervously and he smiles.

"I'm the second person in charge. I can explain everything after breakfast if you'd like." He says calmly and I sigh.

"Sure, you want pancakes? I made extras?" I ask and he smiles.

"Of course, although I ate before I came here. Even if the trip were a long one, I wouldn't mind a pancake snack." He says and exits the kitchen.

"So, about Luka?" Tikki asks as she flies out of my bag.

"Nope... he's just a close friend, Tikki. Besides, I really can't be focused on boy drama. I have a hotel to manage." I say as I finish the pancakes and she hides. I made my way out to a nearby table where Luka was. I placed his plate in front of him and settled next to him.

"Sorry if it's not as tasty as you'd expect." I say hoping the pancakes don't taste as bad as I think they do. He took a bite and looked at me shocked.

"Are you kidding me? This tastes good, you should be in charge of breakfast and dinner." He said with a smile as we kept eating breakfast.

"Thank you, but it's a little too early to make breakfast for everyone." I explain as I scratch the back of my head.

"We should send everyone to eat breakfast at some other restaurant while we figure everything out." He suggested as I took out my phone and created a group chat with all my classmates.

"I guess you're right, I send a message that you're here and that they should eat out of the hotel while everything is settled down." I say as I type.

"Sounds good! By the way, you might need my number. You know if anything happens and we're not in the same location we can just send a message." He says as he takes out his phone and hands it to me. We swapped phones to put our number in them and handed them back once we were done.

"All right, should we wash the dishes and get to exploring?" I asked as we finished our meal, and he gave me a nod. Even if I felt a little awkward around him, he just kept to himself and helped me clean. After we finished everything in the kitchen we headed to the elevator and waited.

"Okay, where should we start?" I asked and he was silent for a few minutes.

"I'm debating whether or not we should head to the third floor so we can grab all the keys and instructions before exploring." He suggests and I nod.

"I guess it's easier to just grab the keys from there and begin, however, Miss Bustier gave me some keys and told me that the majority of the keys are in the Lobby." I explained and he looked puzzled.

"You have those keys with you?" He asks and I shake my head in disagreement.

"No, I left them in my room with some papers she also handed me. I honestly didn't expect to see you this early." I explained.

"I doubt the faculty or parents will be looking at the cameras. I'll accompany you to your room if that's all right?" He says and I could feel my cheeks burn.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Besides, the cameras can be turned on and off whenever we like but I'm not sure if anyone is looking at us as we speak." I explained as the elevator door opened and we head inside.

"That's all right, I'll wait for you near the elevator. Just make sure you bring the papers and keys." He said and I gave a small smile.

"By the way, I never got to thank you the other day. So, thanks for being there for me." I said and he looked to the side trying to cover his rosy cheeks. I could see that blush he was trying to hide but I just looked away so I wouldn't make him uncomfortable.

"No problem, anything for you Marinette." He says and I couldn't help but grin as the elevator door opened and we both exit.

"All right, I'll see you in a few." I say and begin walking to the backside of the hotel.

Luka's Point of View
I watched her leave and when I couldn't see her anymore, I leaned on the wall while scrolling through my contacts. I can't believe I finally have her number. I'm also glad I got here on time and was able to unload everything as quickly as possible. I will admit though, I made a mess but there's no need to rush organization.

"Can you believe it, Sabrina! Out of all our classmates, she has to be the one in charge." Chloe's voice complains at the distance.

"Now Chloe, you and I both know that there are worse people who could've gotten the job. Besides, I believe Marinette will do an amazing job assigning and keeping everything in check." Sabrina says as they make their way towards the elevator.

"Ugh, great! Who brought the trashy model to this hotel?" Chloe complains.

"Nice to see you, Chloe." I say, trying to be the mature one in this situation.

"Ugh, why are you here?" She asks annoyed as she presses the button to call the elevator.

"I guess it's your business to know since I am the second manager of the hotel." I explain in a serious voice.

"Wait. You're the special guest?" She says confused.

"Yes, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't talk poorly about your two bosses. Remember Chloe, your grade is in the hands of Marinette and mine. Plus, we'll be listening to everything so no funny business." I said and she looked annoyed.

"Please don't torment me. It's bad enough that Marinette is in charge. I don't need another loser in charge of my grade. This is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous." She says and I could help but roll my eyes.

"Say, you aren't here because you somehow influenced the vote and the students who couldn't participate in the leadership portion, right?" She asks and I couldn't help but sigh.
