Good morning, guys! Sorry I couldn't get this up on Christmas, but I've been both busy and lazy these past few days.

I hope your break/holiday is going well, lovelies!

"No, mom, it's not too bad out here. Just a few inches of snow," I said to my mom over the phone as I sat on the couch and read my book. I was currently sitting on the couch in front of the television and fireplace, where the fire was crackling and I had a blanket draped over my legs as I read.

"I wish you stayed home for Christmas," she told me sadly.

"I do, too mom," I told her honestly, twisting my wedding ring on my finger. "I miss you guys a lot."

"We miss you too," she said, a sigh coming from the other side of the call. "Jordan is kind of sad that you weren't there for the twins first Christmas."

I felt a twinge of guilt. I completely forgot about Jordan and the twins. What kind of sister and aunt am I if I can't even be there for Christmas. I bought them all lots of a gifts though, so hopefully they like them.

"I feel bad enough," I admit to my mother, frowning at my ring for a moment as I got lost in thought. "I didn't do it  on purpose."

"We know," she assured me gently, sounding sympathetic. "You can only do so much at a time."

"Yeah, well." I look at the fire, the dancing orange and yellow flames radiating warmth. It made me sleepy. "How is everyone?"

"They're pretty good," she replied, sounding amused. "Your father is having a blast watching the twins. He misses having little ones to play with."

I laughed, imagining the two little babies crawling all over the place with dad trying to catch their attention. "Wow. You guys should have another."

"Oh, please," Mom says, snorting.

"I'm serious," I said, blinking and smiling in amusement, despite her not being able to see me. "I bet you miss having children who need your attention and care every second of the day."

"Faye, sweetheart," Mom said, sounding close to laughter, "I still have children who are grown adults who requre my attention every second of the day."

"Pfft," I reply in fake astonishment, smiling widely, "whaat?"

I finally got her to laugh, which was great. My mom's laugh was seriously angel like, and I can understand why Dad loved hearing it so much. When her laughter died down, she asked, "How's things with you?"

I grimaced, wanting to rant about how sexually frustrated I was. She was my mom, so I could tell her this stuff. "I hate periods," was all I said.

She laughs again. "That's your answer, huh?"

"I'm so horny, mom, it's not funny," I whine, my face turning a bright red. "I can't so much as sit next to Jackson without having the desire to jump his bones. It's seriously idiotic."

"It's apart of the human system," Mom told me, sounding both amused and sympathetic. "Trust me when I tell you that I know how you feel."

I mumble under my breath, messing with my hair. "It's not fair. Why do we have to go through all the hard crap?"

"Because we're awesome that way," she replied, yawning. "'Twas meant to be, my dear daughter."

I could tell she was tired, seeing as they were six hours ahead of us. It must be pretty late for them right now so I decided to let her go. "Night, Mom. Love you. Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas, Faye, I love you too."

After hanging up, I take a deep breath and lean my head back against the couch.

"How's your mom?" I jumped, looking up and seeing Jackson towering over me with a curious expression across his face. He smiled a little when he saw me jump. "Sorry. Didn't mean to scare you."

"It's fine." I sit up, making room for Jackson to sit down next to me. "They're all fine, just wishing we were there for Christmas."

Jackson takes my hand and pulls me close to him, wrapping his arm around me. I lean against him, my cheek buried in his shirt which smelled so good. My emotions went haywire, and I had to resist the urge to kiss him right then and there.

It didn't help when he started rubbing circles on my arm, which felt awesome. I close my eyes and listen to the fire crack in the fireplace as I leaned against Jackson.

"Are you alright?" he asked me, breaking the comfortable silence and looking down at me. "You're awfully quiet."

"Just thinking," I told him, twisting the wedding ring on my finger.

"About?"

I was certain I was blushing by the way my cheeks felt warm. If the fire's orange/yellow flames weren't giving off the only light I was sure he would see the blush. "Stuff."

He raised an eyebrow, interested. "Oh? What stuff?"

"Uh.."

"Does it involve you, me, and a bedroom?" he asked, suddenly twisting around and pinning me gently to the couch. He looked down at me, a smile pulling his lips.

"Sadly, yes," I sigh.

"You don't sound happy about it," he replied with a frown, tilting his head.

"You seem to have forgotten the issue at hand."

"The iss-" Realization lit his face. "Oh, I see. Right."

"Yeah." I let out a loud, frustrated sigh and run my hands through my hair. "It's kinda pissing me off."

He helped me up into a sitting position. "Kisses won't hurt anything, will it?"

I smile, shaking my head. "I can live with a few kisses."

He chuckled, pressing his lips against mine. The moment got heated, and his hands trailed down my waist while I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him closer to me.

My insides felt like they were on fire, a fire that couldn't be put out easily. Jackson's hands slid under my shirt and I snapped back to reality.  I pull away, my hands going down to his and pulling them away from my bare waist.

"We should stop," I said, my voice raspy and heavy. We were both breathing heavily and we were sweaty, but other than that we were just peachy.

He slid his hands through mine and sighed, closing his eyes for a moment. "You're right."

"Sadly so."

He smiled at me, his eyes bright with love and happiness. "You're beautiful, you know?"

"Where did that come from?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. I was, however, smiling and was very pleased by the compliment.

He shrugged. "I just thought I'd let you know, in case you forget."

"I didn't know I thought I was beautiful."

"You should know because it's true."

I smiled at him.

Meh. A short chapter but I still got it up, sorry for how bad it was. I'll try to update again when I can. :)
