Chapter 24
Living in an apartment, studying harder than I did before, and working on a night shift. I do it all. And I can't believe that I managed to survive doing these for a month already. By the day, I finally learned to adjust in my new life.
"BJ gusto mo?" Cia asked, I nodded. She handed me over the small bottle of buko juice that she bought outside the campus.
"Seriously, Cia. Para na talaga kitang nanay nito," I said, looking at the tupperwares in front of me. I don't know what came up to her mind that she ended up giving these to me.
"Don't think about it that way.
I sighed. "Fine. I consider buying new appliances as an urgent need.
"My obedient boy," she teased.
"Salamat, ah..." nahihiya kong sagot.
"You're welcome."
He likes you, remember? He's also worried about you, to be honest," she responded.
"Cia..." I called and looked straight into her eyes. "Just because he likes me doesn't mean that I can abuse you," I continued, hoping that she would understand why I'm feeling like this.
She shrugged. "I don't feel abused by any chance."
Tsk. Ang kulit naman talaga.
I took a deep breath. "Basta one time lang 'to, ha. Nakaka-hiya kasi talaga, Cia," sabi ko.
"Fine. Samahan na kita sa kotse mo, ilagay mo muna 'yan dun," she said before standing up.

Of all things, why did I forget setting up my alarm? Napa-sarap tuloy 'yung tulog ko. But maybe, I can't be too harsh on myself.
I already made peace with the fact that I'd have an unpleasant grade from submitting my projects this late. Perhaps, I'd have to accept that today is my unlucky day.
