I took down notes when Judge Rouge started his introduction about the subject. My recit made me realize that I should double my effort in doing advance reading. Mind you, I did an advance reading before I came to class but still, I almost failed to answer a recit correctly.
Luckily, this man emerged from somewhere and spared me a braincell. And I haven't thanked him yet, though.
I never had the chance.
The Crim 1 was followed by another three subjects which was consumed by the same process... recitation. Thank God I didn't hear my surname called again.
After that helping scene, we didn't have another interaction. So now that it's our break time already, I am thinking of a way to thank him while slowly fixing my things.
But before I can even say a word, he already spoke.
"You should've done an advance reading..." he spoke softly but with an appealing accent using his deep voice.
I turned to face him and saw him fixing his things as well. He is wearing a white longsleeves polo rolled up to his elbow, clean cut hair and sporting a dark but playful aura. He was not looking at me, but when he did, I almost got captivated with his eyes.
I cleared my throat.
"Excuse me?" I muttered. Does he think that I am not studying? Ex-fucking-cuse me?
Forget what I've said earlier. I'm not thanking this boastful man!
"Excuse you?" He shot his right brow and shifted his position to face me more. "You should've known that your first day here won't be similar with your first day in elementary and highschool."
I smirked. "Well, atleast, I'm not late."
Even though I really did study, I won't argue with that anymore. Let's just see what you've got the next days.
Amusement was seen in his face. His lips protruded to stifle a smirk.
"Is that how you say thank you?"
I shrugged. "What do you mean? I do not owe anything to anyone," I answered innocently.
I stood up, holding my bag. I saw him biting the insides of his cheeks.
"Anything else?" I added.
Now he looked more amused.
He licked his lips and blinked before he declined, "None."
I nodded and gave him a dismissive wave of my hand, then left the room.
I bought a cheese sandwich in the canteen and went to the library. We have one hour break. But since I had a little chitchat, I only have less than forty five minutes left.
I spent my vacant time planning my everyday schedule. Being a Student Assistant requires a sixty hours of your assistance for a week. Since I am for morning session, I will be spending another ten hours in school, after class. Total of sixty hours per week.
That's pure struggle.
I just hope I can still have time doing my school works and everything paired with enough sleep time.
After I planned and memorized my schedule, I read books for my next subject.
"Hi. Do you mind if we'll share this table?" I raised my chin to look at the girl who quietly asked.
I roamed my eyes around and saw that the library was full and crowded. As expected from law students. I didn't notice it since earlier because I'm here in the farthest corner of the library.
"Sure, I don't mind," I slightly spread my hands, gesturing her to sit.
In gratefulness, she clapped her hands, which caught the other students' and librarian's attention.
She flashed a peace sign and giggled, "Oops."
Quickly, she took a sit in front of me as she happily introduced herself.
"I'm Wendy! We're friends now," she extended her arm and we shook hands.
I chuckled at her pleasantry, "Andrea."
"What's your section?" she asked while playing with her shoulder length hair. Wendy looked so feminine with her fashion sense, she is wearing a black pencil cut skirt paired with yellow sleeveless top. She is tall and slender, too.
"Sec. A," I answered.
Her jaw dropped and she stared at me for a while. After a few moments, she slapped her forehead and groaned.
"We're classmates! I should've went to class today. We could've met earlier," she pouted and I chuckled, telling her that it's alright.
But yeah, she really should've went and study.
Later on, she smiled and put her elbows on the flat table.
She clasped her hands and joyfully stated, "We are classmates!"
