(Keefe pov)
I stared down at the cars and people, who looked like little ants. Laughs, chatter, and more could be heard from up here, 600 feet above ground on an office building in the human world. Sitting on the railing, all it takes is a little push off, and then it's all over. No more thinking about how Sophie broke my heart by ditching me for Fitz, the Golden Boy with a perfect life. No more thinking about my parents, who abandoned me and kicked me out. None of my friends care about me anymore anyways, not after the lies Fitz told them. The rumors he had spread, just so Sophie would be his. There's nothing left for me here. No one to go back with, no friends or family. What's even the point in living anymore, hmm? I stare down at the busy city below me, a chilly wind blowing my hair back. I hear footsteps behind me, and confused, I turn around and see- Tam Song? The boy who hates me?
"Keefe Sencen, what the heck are you doing?" Tam yelled, angry.
I look at him, unmoving, unable to speak. What was he doing here? What- what was wrong with my stomach? It hadn't felt like that since I had met Sophie....
"What do you want, Tam?" I ask. "You can't stop me. No one cares about me, anyways. No one at all." I look down, and decide to do it before he tries to stop me. Taking a deep breath, I tell myself, now it'll be ok. It'll all be over once you jump. Pushing off, I begin to fall, but a hand reaches out and catches me, pulling me back up.
"Stop! What do you want, Tam!" I yell as I am hauled back up onto the building roof. Retracting my arm, tears stream down both of our cheeks as Tam stares into my ice-blue eyes, piercing me with his stare and making the butterflies in my stomach go wild.
"Keefe..." Tam says softly, taking my hand. "I care."
My heart soared up, far into the sky. I felt like I was in a dreamy trance. "Wh-what?"
He steps closer to me, and I can feel his warm breath on my cheek. Tam growls seductively, "Keefe Sencen, you idiot, I love you." His soft pink lips touch mine, and fireworks explode in my stomach. I kiss him back softly, one hand on his waist and the other in his black and silver hair. Breaking away, I look up at Tam breathlessly, whispering, "I love you too, Bangs Boy."
