"And what do we have left once we abandon the lie? Chaos. A gaping pit waiting to swallow us all."
"Chaos isn't a pit. CHAOS IS A LADDER."

"Clever, ruthless, and pragmatic. Do you think he could be King?" Petyr Baelish casually muttered, observing the Iron Throne in front of him.
Lord Varys set his sights upon the Throne as well, mulling upon his words. "Maybe." He responded.
Baelish turned to him, raising an amused brow.
"Or maybe not."

"If I had to be worried about anything else, it would be that woman he's brought along with her." Tywin Lannister spat out, placing his goblet on the table.
Lord Tyrell narrowed his eyes in confusion. "Lady Carlena? But why?"
"Because she reminds me of Cersei. But she's much more cunning, and much more manipulative."
And much more beautiful, Lord Tyrell thought silently.
Lord Tywin continued. "If Cersei had been my enemy, I would not have underestimated her. And if what my spies tell me is true, Carlena Allyrion has a much bigger role to play in this war."

"It is cold outside. It might start raining at any moment, spend the night here. They won't notice." Veje told him calmly, his tongue easily speaking High Valyrian.
Farah shook his head. "I'd rather be drenched than have all of them stare at me in contempt. Wouldn't it better if I die tonight? It would be freedom for me." He smiled wryly.
The boy didn't seem amused, but stated coolly, "Fine. Do as you please. But don't leave me alone here."
Farah nodded warmly in response. He didn't have the heart to tell the child that he was the only reason why he hadn't given up on his miserable life.
With a sigh, he headed outside just as it started pouring.
