I didn't have time to think; all 10 clones charged me at once. I quickly whipped out my kagune and flew into the air.
The clones looked a bit shocked as I landed several feet away. I gave them a sly smile; and they dispersed. I could sense them nearby; so I was prepared for any sneak attacks.
I used my kagune to help me launch forward where 2 of the clones still stood. They fought hard with their kunai; but were still no match for me. I threw one into a tree with a sickening crack and sliced into the second one with my hands.
Right when I did; I felt a couple of the hidden ones jump out.

Clever. But not quick enough. I sliced through each of them with my kagune.

One by one they poofed out of existence; until there was just one left.
I put my kagune away. It had been awhile since I did a simple hand to hand combat.

I picked up one of the dropped kunai and took my battle stance. The clone raised his eyebrow at me and did the same.

I knew I could take him out with one throw; but I wanted to actually fight this one before I ended it.
I blinked and he disappeared. But then I felt something against my throat.
"Looking for me darlin'?," I could feel the clones breath against my neck.
It was scary how realistic he felt. His arm was wrapped around my waist and his grip was strong...

But not strong enough. I smiled and leaned my head back against him, "Nice try," with that distraction I twisted out of his grasp and dropped into a split. Simultaneously shoving the kunai i was still holding upwards.

Another poof; and it was over.

I stood up and brushed myself off, so much for a fight. I turned towards my audience and chuckled. The emotions that danced over their faces made me want to smile and blush at the same time.
They all glanced at one another before they started clapping. I laughed and bowed; usually my sparring had a different atmosphere to it. These three made me feel appreciated.

"That was amazing to witness! You can join my team tomorrow (y/n)!," Asuma ran up to me first.

But Kakashi followed close behind, "Nah, I think she'd do better on my team."

Asuma glared at him while Kakashi just looked at him nonchalantly; which started the bickering.

I rubbed the back of my head and just silently watched them with Jiraiya.

"So who's team do you want to be on? They're so worried about themselves; they haven't even asked the person it matters to," he crossed his arms as we watched them.

I sighed, "I don't know old man. They both seem great but I know Kakashi a bit more."

"Are you comfortable with Kakashi?"

I thought about it for a minute. I was almost too comfortable with him honestly. I quietly nodded my head.

Jiraiya gave my back a strong pat, "then it's settled," he cleared his throat and the two men stopped, "(y/n) will join Kakashi's team."
Asuma's jaw dropped and Kakashi smiled.

I quickly spoke up, "I'm sorry Asuma! I've just been around Kakashi more! It's nothing personal!" I rubbed the back of my neck and gave him what I hoped was a reassuring smile.

Asuma gave me a small smile in return, "I understand (y/n)," he nudged my arm and I nudged him back and smiled.
I was so thankful that they weren't treating me like some freak.

Soon both Asuma and Jiraiya left; needing to tend to other things. Leaving me and Kakashi alone. "You really were great out there (y/n)."

I gave him a small smile, "Thank you.. I guess I can call you sensei now, huh?"

He laughed and blushed a little, "Kakashi.. sensei, whatever makes you happy."

"Hmm, how about Kakashi sensei around others and Kashi when we're alone?"

His cheeks turned a darker shade of red, "Oh yeah; that works." He coughed and turned away from me, "want to go get some dinner? My treat of course."

He didn't wait for my response; he just started walking and I jogged a little to catch up with him.

Our walk was silent but comfortable. He read a book; that I needed to remember to ask about later; and I just relished in the sights and took in deep breaths of the areas we were walking in.
I don't think I'd ever get used to the beauty of being outside.

When we stepped inside; we were quickly called over to a table by Asuma. He was sitting with a guy with bushy eyebrows and a girl with red eyes.

Asuma began to introduce me to them,"(Y/N)! This is Kurenai and this is-."

The bushy brow guy practically yelled at me making me unintentionally flinch, "AND I'M MIGHT GUY," he pointed his thumb at himself and smiled.

I could've swore his teeth sparkled.
I blinked a few times and then cleared my throat," it's nice to meet everyone. I'm (y/n) (l/n)." Kurenai smiled but before she could say anything; Guy pulled me into a hug.

"THE POWER OF YOU-," I was quickly pulled from his arms before he could finish.

I found myself in a different pair of arms though. My hands were smushed against his chest and I looked up. Kakashi wore that usual uninterested look as he stared at guy.

"Let's not scare (Y/n) so quickly Guy."

Kakashi looked down at me and as soon as he met my eyes; we both blushed and he let me go.

I looked back at guy who was.. crying?
The men of this town really were interesting.

I didn't even pay attention to the two anymore. I quickly sat down and let them have at it.

"Finally, another woman that isn't the busy hokage," I gave Kurenai a big smile.
I was nervous but I really wanted a girl friend.

She laughed, "I could say the same. Having a girl amongst these men sounds like a breath of fresh air."

Kakashi sat down but Guy was nowhere to be found. "Where'd he go?," I glanced at Kakashi.

He shrugged, "Something about running laps. Who knows. I went ahead and ordered you some food though."

"Oooh! Is it what you brought me last night?"

He gave me his signature smile and my heart throbbed.
I've got it bad for this man already, I quickly blushed at the thought and looked down. "Thank you!"

God I really needed to get it together and stop being so obvious.

"So (Y/n), how old are you?," Kurenai brought me out of my idiotic little world.

I looked at her; thankful my blush was gone, "24! My birthday is in a few months though."

The rest of our dinner went like that. We all just took turns answering any questions about ourselves. I made sure to tell Kurenai everything Asuma and Kakashi knew. Thankfully she was understanding. I really hoped we would become good friends.

Asuma and Kurenai walked off together in the opposite direction of me and Kakashi.
Our walk started out silently again; he pulled out his book and I looked up at the night sky.

~Kakashi's POV~

I glanced over my book at (y/n). She was staring at the sky again. I put my book away, "He really never let you outside?"

She looked at me and I could see a hint of pink dust across her cheeks before she looked back at the sky.
She blushed often; which I found cute.

"No, I stayed in my room mainly. I'd occasionally walk around the hideout; but never went outside."

"I'm sorry."

She looked forward, "Thank you."

The tension around her seemed to grow; and I cleared my throat. I hadn't meant to upset her; so I tried to change the topic.

"So you really seemed to enjoy the ramen. Is that your favorite?"

I noticed her shoulders tense for a second there and I raised my eyebrow. I didn't think that question would warrant that response.

She composed herself quickly though, "Yeah! It is my favorite."

She looked up at me and gave me an awkward smile before she picked up her walking speed and made her way in front of me.

I squinted my eyes at her, What are you still hiding (Y/N)?
