For the next couple weeks, Sokka and Zuko hardly talked, and Sokka got back together with Suki. Zuko would be lying if he told himself that it didn't hurt him, because it did. A lot. He thought he could trust Sokka, and all of a sudden he doesn't even want to be around Zuko? He'd give anything to have things just go back to normal.

Zuko spent his lunch periods with Jin, and didn't really hang around anyone else. Since he was no longer around Sokka, Jet flirted with him every now and then. Zuko would flirt back occasionally, but he was sure it didn't mean anything to either of them.

Once school was over, Zuko walked to his car. As he was unlocking it, he felt hands press against his hips. He turned around to see Jet. He sighed quietly as he looked into Jet's eyes.

"Is there a reason why you stopped me from getting in my car?" Zuko spoke with a soft chuckle. "I was hoping maybe we could go somewhere more private, together," Jet whispered in Zuko's ear, pressing a kiss to Zuko's neck. Zuko bit his lip as he considered Jet's offer.

His eyes skimmed the parking lot, before he noticed Sokka's softened eyes staring at him. Zuko's eyes softened. He still cared deeply for Sokka, and wasn't about to flirt with Jet in front of him. Zuko shook his head. "Sorry, Jet. It's not going to be that easy." He spoke with a soft chuckle. Jet nodded and chuckled as well. "Alright, fine. But I'm not going to stop trying." He spoke, and Zuko rolled his eyes playfully before he got into the car.

He drove to his uncle's tea shop to work his shift. Once he got there, he greeted his uncle and headed to the back to put on his apron. Once he walked back out to the front, he saw Sokka standing at the counter.

"Uh, hey, Sokka... What can I get for you?" He spoke, locking eyes with Sokka. He felt his cheeks heat up. "I need to talk to you. Do you have a minute?" Sokka spoke. Zuko looked to his uncle, who nodded. "Sure." He spoke, and followed Sokka to a table and sat down.

"Why were you so close to Jet earlier? You know he's shitty." Sokka spoke. Zuko furrowed his eyebrows. He hasn't spoken to me in weeks, and now he thinks he has the right to act like this? He thought to himself.

"Last time I checked, you weren't exactly talking to me. So, why are you concerned about who I flirt with? You have no right to!" Zuko spoke, looking straight into Sokka's eyes. Zuko sighed deeply in attempt to calm himself down. He was really hurt by the fact that Sokka was only concerned with him when he flirted with his sister's ex.

"I just don't understand, Sokka. Don't come and talk to me if you're only concerned about things that aren't any of your business." Zuko spoke. Sokka rolled his eyes. "I'm just looking out for you, Zuko!" He spoke as Zuko stood and began to walk away. "You only 'look out for me' when it's convenient for you."

At the end of Zuko's shift, he sat in his car and texted Jet, telling him that he might take him up on his offer. He knew it'd piss off Sokka, but he needed to do something to get his mind off of him. He sighed as he drove home.

Once he got home, he took a shower and went straight to bed. His chest ached, and he didn't have the motivation to do anything else.

Once he got to school the next day, he didn't bother even looking at Sokka. He walked past him, and sat down in a desk beside Jet. Jet smirked and locked eyes with Zuko. "Glad you finally decided to join me, pretty boy."

Zuko's cheeks flushed at Jet's words and he smiled at Jet. Sokka visibly rolled his eyes and Zuko chuckled. "I guess you could say that." Zuko spoke and winked at Jet. He usually wouldn't openly flirt with boys, considering he was still technically in the closet to everyone besides Sokka and now Jet. But, he needed to feel something. He needed something to take his mind of his heartbreak, and this was his way of doing that.
