Marinette found herself racing back towards the ladies room in order to transform herself into Ladybug once more.

As soon as Tikki flew into her earring she darted out of the bathroom and went off in search for Adrien and the Akuma.

At last, she'd found them.

As she saw the scene play out before her; Chat Noir battling Chloé's Queen Bee counterpart, Queen Wasp, her shoulders grew heavy with guilt.

Marinette could have only guessed why Chloé had been Akumatized- she probably heard about Adrien and hers relationship from the Chats mouth and let her emotions get the best of her, therefore opening herself up to Hawkmoth's control.

Ladybug quickly composed herself, jumping into action, landing between Chat Noir and Queen Wasp, forcing their fight to come to a halt.

"Chloé! I know you're in their somewhere and if you can hear me, you need to stop. I understand how you're feeling right now but trust me, it's not worth it."

Ladybug tried to reason with the girl but it was no use. Hawkmoth's hold on Chloé was too great.

"Please, Ladybug. As if you could ever understand how I'm feeling right now. Do you know what it's like to get your heart broken? Perfect little Ladybug... you probably always get the guy."

"That's..." Ladybug stopped and glanced over at Chat Noir for the briefest of moments. "Not true."

It was a lie and everyone knew it.

"For a long time, I was stuck pining over a guy I thought would never love me in the way I did. But life works out in weird ways and sometimes... sometimes it gives you what you're looking for and you don't even realise it." Ladybug spoke from her heart, ignoring the looks she could feel she was getting from Chat Noir behind her.

"You're a liar, Ladybug. I don't care about anything you have to say right now. Marinette Dupain-Cheng will pay for taking what's mine!"

Queen Wasp leapt up from her placing and flew out of sight.

"No! Wait!" Chat called from the side and was quick on his feet, chasing down Queen Wasp in order to stop her from hurting the girl he loved.

They chased Queen Wasp through the school, ducking and dodging obstacles as they went but still they had been just short of fast enough.

Queen Wasp had arrived at Miss Bustier's classroom, kicked down the door causing an eruption gasps and screams from inside and then she demanded that Marinette showed her face.

"Where are you!" She called out, angrily.

Ladybug and Chat Noir arrived within seconds and saw Chloé walking up the aisles, searching for the blue-haired girl.

"Chloé, stop. She isn't the one you want." Chat spoke, his words so low and afraid that it shocked even Ladybug.

"Hmmm." Queen Wasp mockingly tapped the edge of her chin in thought. "Yes she is. But since she isn't here right now I'll have to make do with her best friend."

Queen Wasp was lightening fast and headed straight for Alya who was grouped up in the corner of the classroom with a few of their friends.

She gripped tight on her arm, making Alya yelp loudly, in pain.

"Stop! You're hurting her!" Ladybug called.

"No. Until someone brings me Marinette, I'm holding this one hostage."

With Alya in hand, Chloé flew out of the window and got lost in the city streets.

Ladybug didn't hesitate for a second, forcing the panic she was feeling deep down inside her.

She had a job to do.

She had a best friend to save.

Ladybug threw herself out the window, her yoyo working at double the speed it usually did. Her eyes darted in every direction, in every street and over every rooftop, searching for any flash of black and yellow she could find.

She prayed that Alya would be safe, because she didn't know what she would do if something happened to her.

In the corner of her eye she saw Chat, or Adrien as she knew him to be, leaping over buildings, scanning the area frantically.

He had matched her speed in the chase because truthfully he was just as scared as she was and they were both operating on fear right now.

That's when Ladybug saw them, way over in the distance.

It only made sense that they'd be right at the very top of the Eiffel Tower.

Because it seemed that everyone always ends up at the Eiffel Tower.

"Chat!" Ladybug called out to her partner. "They're up there!" She pointed towards the pair way over in the distance.

Chat Noir's gaze settled on Queen Wasp and Alya and pounced. There was no way in the world he would let something happen to his girlfriends best friend.

So he pounced like the Chat he was.

The heroes arrived at the Tower, and Ladybug threw her yoyo up, wrapping it around a metal bar. She grabbed ahold of Chat Noir's waist and they zipped upwards in record time.

They landed with a thump on the highest floored area only to be met with a level of panic they'd never known.

Queen Wasp was holding Alya over the edge of the tower, a smirk on her face that was daring Ladybug and Chat Noir to try something.

"Don't you dare, Chloé!" Ladybug shouted.

"Chloé this isn't you! Let Alya go." Roared Chat.

"I told you to bring Marinette. Did I not say that?" Queen Wasp turned her head to Alya. "I guess they don't really care about little old you, Alya."

"You're not going to win, Queen Wasp. Never have. Never will". Alya growled, but on the inside she couldn't deny the amount of fear she had.

Ladybug tried to think of something, anything, that she'd be able to do to save her best friend.

Could she summon her lucky charm in time? Could she fish them away from the edge with her yoyo long enough for Chat to cataclysm the Akuma?

"Let me make this perfectly clear! If you don't find Marinette and bring her to me, I'm going to drop this girl off the edge and then I'll find Marinette myself."

"Ladybug..." Chat spoke from her side. "I don't know where Marinette is."

"I do..."
