‘And in today’s news a woman’s body has been found hanging from her ceiling fan, the woman was said to have been a therapist in her early 50's. As of this moment, there is no more information as to whether this was murder or death by suicide......’

The moment I heard those words, my chest tightened and I leaned against the kitchen counter for support. She was dead. Sheila was dead. I was frozen in shock, my body trembling and shaking from the news of her death. Tears escaped my eyes, and I attempted to control my breathing, but to no avail, they just kept falling like a never-ending waterfall.

Arms enveloped me, pulling me close and I cried, even more, my hands clutching her shirt like it was my lifeline. I was upset, angry and confused. Sheila is dead, gone, just like Megan. I sobbed at the thought, this day reminding me of the night I got the news of Megan’s death, it was sudden and unexpected.

I pulled away slightly, looking up into her beautiful green eyes. She had a look of concern on her face mixed with a look of sympathy. I felt so embarrassed, breaking down in the home of a woman I just met the night before, the most gorgeous woman I’ve spent the night with.

‘Hey, don’t hide those beautiful brown eyes from me, I don’t know what’s going on but I’m here okay? I’m here.’

Her hands were on my cheeks, wiping my tears away and I just nodded, taking comfort in being close to her. Her lips kissed my forehead and eyelids and at that moment I felt loved, cared for,  safe and secure. I wished more than anything that I could stay in this moment and never leave, but I knew that was impossible.

‘I’m sorry, I have to go, I have to find out what’s going on.’

‘Hey, you don’t even have to say you're sorry, I understand, and I’ll take you there myself okay?’

‘No, Samatha, you honestly don’t have to, I don’t want to drag you into anything.’

‘Hey, hey.....shhh you’re not okay? I want to come. I want to make sure your okay and get there safely, I’m not going to let you go alone, not now, you shouldn’t be alone at a time like this. Let me get my keys and I’ll drive you wherever you need to go okay?’

I nodded and stood by the door. I blushed upon realising that I was wearing Samantha’s clothes and that my red dress was still discarded on the floor of her bedroom. Samantha came rushing into the room, noticing my flushed cheeks and frowned.

‘Hey, are you okay, has something else happened?’

I shook my head no and bit my bottom lip. Looking at her. ‘No everything is fine, I just realised I’m wearing your clothes that’s all.’
A smile appeared on her lips and she kissed my cheeks, looking at me from head to toe.
