It has been a week since I were expelled from school. I was asked to move to a new apartment and I am supposed to attend a new school next Monday. I was forcefully separated from my family. It was all my fault.'Dammit, you really are hopeless after all huh?' I jokingly thought to my self while standing infront of the door
The lady at the counter gave me my keys to my new apartment. Luckily, i don't have to pay for rent thanks to my parents. I really do owe them a lot.
I opened the door to my apartment and the room was actually quite pleasant although it was small. You'd first notice a couch and an old TV that probably came from the 90's. At the side there was a small kitchen and behind the living room was a door to my room.
My room was also very small but it was aslo very cozy. There was a small white bed on my right side and a desk beside it.
I put my stuff down and layed down on my bed. I close my eyes for a little bit and my phone chimes after. It was a message from my mom.
*hey Y/N are you doing well? Im sorry I can't be with you at the moment I know it must be hard*
*dont worry mom im fine* I reply
*Alright Y/N I trust you. Get some sleep already so you'll be prepared for Monday*
*And don't cause anymore trouble!* She added.
I let out a sigh and did exactly as she told.
==========
Monday has arrived and I prepared myself for my first day. I did everything to make sure I leave a good first impression to my teachers and schoolmates. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, and groomed myself and went to walk to school. Hangguk Academy.
I was extremely nervous and I wasn't sure if everyone will like me. I was expelled after all.
Hangguk Academy was still quire far and it was still very early so I decided to stop by a nearby donut shop. I bought a single donut to eat along the way to Hangguk.
As I open the door to leave, a girl with long brown hair who was wearing the same uniform as me was walking towards my direction. She was breathtaking. I was frozen there because of the marvelous sight. The way the wind was carrying her hair, the way she walked perfectly showed her features. I was truly stunned.
Suddenly, I heard a voice behind my back. "Ahem!" It was an elderly lady. I was taken aback when I realized that I was in her and a lot more people's way. I looked back at them and apologized sincerely but they all ignored me. I was embarassed.
I was about to go on my way when the same girl brushed past me. She took a quick look at me and let out a soft giggle. It seemed she noticed I was staring at her. "She's extremely pretty, huh?" I heard a voice. I looked to my right and saw a guy also wearing the same uniform as me.
"Sana's very pretty today isn't she?" He smiles at me.
"S-Sana?" I stutter.
"Don't play dumb, there's no way you don't know Sana." He says. I look at him weirdly.
"Could it be? You're the new transfer student are you?" He tells me excitedly.
He grabbed my hand and shook it. "Hiya, I'm Hansol, a second-year, nice to meet ya." He looked like a genuinely nice guy.
"Hi, I'm Boo Y/N I'm also a second-year" I say to him. He invites me to walk to school with him and I accept.
"So, Y/N, what class you in?" He starts the conversation.
"Uhh class 2-D" I reply. He then looks at me with a huge smile on his face.
"Aww that's to bad," he says "I'm in class 2-B, but don't worry, you can visit my class anytime you want. You can rely on me."
"Thanks a lot, Hansol. I'm really glad we bumped into each other huh?" I say
"Yeah, I'm really glad I met you too. You seem cool to me." He replies. "Well, even if we're not in the same class, at least Sana will be with you. She's at class 2-D too." I blushed a little bit after I heard her name. I wish I could get close to her.
But how. She's phenomenal while I'm just a dumbass simp.Hansol and I walk in silence for while when he suddenly asked me "Hey Y/N, why'd you suddenly transfer here?"
I was shocked to hear those words come from his mouth. As much as I hate it it, I was a bit embarrassed to tell him."Well... It's a long story" he looks at me with a confused face.
"Don't worry, you don't have to tell me if you're not ready yet. I've been in a similar situation before."He comforts me. For the first time in a while, I felt happy to find someone who understand.
We've been walking for a long while now and the school was starting to get into view. It was a really big campus with a lot of attractive boys and girls walking around. It wasn't that different from my previous school but I was definitely intimidated. Everyone had their eyes on me. Maybe because they haven't seen me before.
"Alright Y/N class is about start. Lets meet at the cafeteria later at lunchtime alright? I'll be waiting." Hansol tells me and I nod in agreement.
I walk up to the door of my classroom. My heart was beating extremely fast. I was extremely nervous. My hands clenched hard on the straps of my backpack and thought 'you can do this Y/N! Believe in yourself.'
My shaking hand reaches for the doorknob. I took a deep breath before opening.
==============
As I opened the door, I felt my heart drop for a split second. Everyone's eyes were fixed on me. It was nerve wracking to be the center of attention. I wanted to leave the place as soon as possible.
"Ah Y/N there you are." I heard the teacher's voice. Her voice was soft and melodious. She gestured at me to stand beside her. " Remember Y/N in this classroom, we are all family. You don't have to be scared. Now please introduce yourself."
"Uhm... my name is Boo Y/N, I am 17 years old and I hope that we'll be able to get along" I awkwardly say. Everyone didn't seem to care though. I scanned the whole classroom and didn't find anyone interested in me.
"Alright Y/N you can sit over there" the teacher says while pointing at the chair at the 4th row next to the window.
"Now can somebody lend Y/N their textbook?" The teacher was looking at the female student sitting beside me."Ugh... fineeee" she let out a sigh and came closer to me. "Alright lets begin" the teacher says.
==============
A few hours have already passed and it was finally lunchbreak. I stand up from my seat and went out to the classroom and look for Hansol.
"Y/N! Over here!" I heard a voice from across the cafeteria. I saw Hansol signalling me to come by him. I put down my tray and sit across of him when he starts the conversation.
"So, how's your first time here?" He says with a smile on his face expecting good feedback.
"It was fine, I guess. Nobody seemed to care though." I reply.
"Don't worry, just give it some time." He says in an effort to comfort me.
There was a short pause in our conversation and I was deep in my thoughts. I was suddenly reminded of my short interaction with Sana. I also noticed that Sana didn't have any interest in me either. Maybe that cute laugh she gave me didn't mean anything and she probably just laughed because she thought I was an idiot.
I stopped thinking about that for a while and continued my meal. Hansol and I were having fun talking about random stuff until a loud screech was heard from across the room.
I was startled but strangly, Hansol and everyone else weren't. I was extremely confused.
"Haha, those nine are probably playing pranks again." Hansol says while pointing at a table not too far from ours.
I looked at where Hansol was pointing and I was shocked. I saw 9 incredibly beautiful girls and among them was Sana. They were laughing and were having a great time.
"Those 9 are the most popular girls in the entire school," Hansol told me, "all the boys would give them stuff and the girls would just wish they were them."
I spaced out for a moment without ever realizing it. My eyes were fixed on Sana, admiring her from afar. I couldn't hear anything at that moment and it was as if I was entranced by her beauty.
"Y/N?"
"Y-yeah?" I answer as Hansol snapped me off.
"You like Sana, don't you?" Hansol's question caught me off guard.
"W-what makes you say that?!" I answer in panic.
"Well, ever since your little interaction with Sana, you had been staring at her" Hansol says to me.
"It's fine Y/N," Hansol comforts me, "I like someone too"
"Who" I ask
He points to the girl with short brown hair sitting across the girl who screamed. "In my eyes, Jeongyeon is the prettiest." Hansol says.
I was left speechless in our conversation. I was left thinking deeply to myself. Maybe because what Hansol said wasn't wrong. I think I do like Sana.
