Sorry for the late update and the short chapter, but I had to organize my ideas.

"What hurts is that we never really said goodbye. We just ended."

"Keep quiet." Melione almost snarled at a fidgeting Daniel. She made it her personal mission to avoid Alec at all costs and took every opportunity she could get to leave the castle.

She was now hiding with her new companion from Demetri in Alaska after making a bet that he would never be able to find her, the trio had sneaked out of the castle and started their small journey.

"He's going to find us." He whispered back.

"Not under my watch." She said after smelling the vampire getting closer to them, Mel closed her eyes in concentration letting the darkness suck them in the shadow of a tree. They watched attentively as Demetri arrived clearly sensing them but not able to find them. Mel smirked as he turned his back getting ready to leave and in a flash, she leaped out tackling him. The tracker yelped as he was thrown on the ground.

"Found you." She whispered in his ear.

"That wasn't fair, you used your powers."

"And how did you find me, sir? You just followed your instinct I presume?" She answered cockily standing back up.

Demetri frowned, "Fine I'll let you have that one. Where's Dan by the way?" Mel's eyes widened in realization and she stalked back to the tree sticking her hands in the shadow pulling the terrified newborn back out.

"W-Wha- You left me in there!" He shouted in disdain.

Melione burst out laughing, "My bad, kind of forgot you were there."

Danny glared playfully at her, "What even was that?"

"Oh that," She answered with a wave of her hand, "When it rains, puddles of water appear right?" Mel asked earning attentive nods from the pair. "Well, let's imagine that each shadow is like a puddle of water, that if I jump in leads me to another world." She shrugged, "I can jump in a shadow and get out of another, they're all linked together."

"That's amazing..." Daniel said in disbelief.

"Just wait until you figure out how to use your gift fully,"

"Melione got a point you know, you were able to form a whole storm without any training, I'll have to admit that was pretty impressive, who would have thought that we were torturing him just a few weeks ago," Demetri said earning a shove from Dan. "I should really get going though, Aro asked for a private meeting with the elite guard."

"Private meeting with all the curious ears roaming around the castle?" Mel asked.

"No worries the library is soundproof. Are you guys coming with me?"

"We'll stay for a bit, I need to talk with Daniel." Demetri nodded, and in a flash, he was gone.

"So what do you want to talk about?" Dan asked after a moment of silence, Melione didn't answer sitting down on the ground. "I hope you're not asking me to leave again 'for my own safety' I'm not changing my mind." He stated.

"I know."

"Then what is it?" He joined her side.

"I wanted to ask you the opposite of that actually." She pulled out from her jacket's pocket a large classically styled chain with two angel wings bearing an oval-shaped black cabochon and a black crystal dropping from it. "Do you want to join my coven?"

Daniel, who has been staring at the chain with wide eyes asked, "What coven?"

"I don't even know, I didn't have any creative ideas so that's all you get," Mel smirked.

"Well in that case," he mumbled before hugging her tightly screaming at the top of his lungs, "Is that even a question!? Of course, I'll join your coven!" Mel hugged him back patting his back awkwardly.

==========

"As flattering as it is, I don't think Melione will be a good name for a coven," Mel said.

"but you just said that we will be traveling a lot so the 'English Coven' will not go well with that."

"Then what do you propose? Do you have any better ideas? Just choose any name and we'll go with it, it's not like I care."

Daniel stopped on the top of the castle's stairs in thought, "Daniel Villin." He mumbled. Melione stopped in her tracks in surprise. "What?"

"Daniel Villin, Melione Villin, just like the Cullens!" He exclaimed facing her watching as her face broke into an approving grin. "We're the Villins!"

"Alright alright for the first time in all of history you just had a great idea." She said walking away.

"Um, excuse me that was a perfect idea that we're going to use!" He shouted running after her.

==========

Melione entered her room locking the door behind her, she was in such a great mood that she didn't even notice the other presence in the bedroom until she was slammed harshly against the wall, "Where have you been?" His soft melodic voice made her almost fall to her knees.

"Anywhere but here." She muttered.

Alec grabbed her waist pulling her closer to him, "So I thought right." He said his eyes zeroing in on hers. His hair was tousled as if he had been raking his hand through it all day.

"What did you think?" Mel mustered out.

"You're avoiding me."

"W-What are you-" She couldn't continue when he leaned in to inhale her scent making Mel almost sighing in pleasure when his hand started trailing up and down her thigh.

"Let me tell you something," He whispered, "This time," his lips trailed up to her ear, "You won't be succeeding." his mouth then moved until it was inches away from hers. "No matter how much you try, I'm not leaving." His arms settled back around her hips, "And neither are you." And just like that, he disappeared in a blink.
