Chapter 11

"...All I'm saying is that there could be something for you in Georgia." I stop at a red light and turn to Trent. I sighed. 

"I don't know. My life seems to fall around New Jersey. I'm not sure if taking the job would be best. Not to mention Blaze is here too and I don't want to pull Tyson and her apart. It's not fair to them." He nods. 

"I see what you are getting at but you have to think about what is best for you. You can always come back to New Jersey but you will only get this chance once." I nod. I glance at the car that pulled up next to us on Trent's right. A guy was sitting in the driver seats with his windows down. I glanced at his windshield to see he had one of Ben's secret sticker passes. It is what you use to get into any of his tracks. The guy looked at me and glanced at my windshield. His eyes went on mine as he smirks. He hypes up his engine and I smile as I look at Trent who was also smiling as he knew what was about to happen. He shakes his head. "I'll watch for cops." 

The second the light turned green I went flying down the road. I was going over 80 in a 25. I didn't care and neither did the other guy. We stayed at a steady pace for 5 minutes until I hit the gas a little more and my car went zooming. We were about to go over a hill and Trent leaned forward. "Slow down Hope. There's a cop up at the church." I hit the brakes really fast as the guy went zooming past me. I started going to the speed limit when I saw the red and blue lights. As soon as I got past the cop and the guy I was racing I zoomed past them to the track. I get to the secret gate and the guy lets me in. I find a spot to parking and turn to Trent who started laughing. "You still got it." I scuffed. 

"Were you afraid I didn't?" I asked. He shakes his head. 

"Of course not." I get out of the car only to have the guy I was racing pull in front of me. He gets out of his car and leans over it to look at me. 

"That was a nasty trick you pulled," I smirked and crossed my arms. 

"I didn't do anything." He scuffs and glances away for a second. "How did you get away with going over 100 in a 25?" I asked. He smirks. 

"I have sources all over town that get me out of trouble. Normally cops down trying to pull me over but considering he couldn't see my car because of my speed he did. He almost went after you until I told him you were with me." I hummed. 

"So I guess that means I owe you a thank you?" He shakes his head. 

"No, but you can give me your name." 

"I'm, Hope." He smiles. 

"I'm Ace." 

"It's nice to meet you." He nods. 

"I'm going to park my car and then I'll find you." I nod. I watch him drive off with amusement. 

"Hope?" I heard. I turn to see Ben walking up to me. I smiled as he wraps his arms around me. "I wish you would have called before you showed up." I gave him a confused look.

"Why is that?" 

"I gave away all of my good competitors." 

"It's okay." 

"Ben!" I hear. I glance to the left of Ben, to see Noah and Levi walking up to us. I looked at Ben who looked at me. 

"I didn't know he was going to be here." He said honestly. I nodded and glanced at Noah. Noah looked at Ben. "Hey, Noah." 

"Hey, man. Please tell me you've got something for me?" Ben hums. 

"I might. I can't promise you anything." Noah nods. Levi's eyes land on mine just at Noah's do.

"Hope?" They both said. Noah glances at Levi for a second and back at me. 

"What are you doing here?" Noah asked. I turned to Ben. 

"The same reason you are. Hey is Ace racing tonight?" Ben opened his mouth to reply.

"You race?" Noah asked. I looked at him ready to mention the time when he and I raced but I stopped myself. 

"I do." Ben turns to Noah. 

"She is one of my best racers." Noah looks at him and back at me. 

"How is that possible? I've seen girls race and some are good but none are great. I've never seen a girl out race a guy." I hummed. 

"I have raced in over 50 different races and more then half were men. I only lost to one person." He folds his arms. 

"I wish to meet this lucky person," he said. I let out a dry laugh knowing he was the guy I was talking about. I hum and turn to Ben. He takes a deep breath as Ace walks up putting his arm over me. I look at him and he smiles. 

"Are you racing tonight?" I asked. He gave me a smirk. 

"Sorry, sweetheart but with the way you race I'm not going to leave here undefeated." Ben laughs as does Trent. I only smirk knowing that he was probably right. 

"She smoked your ass on the road," Trent said. Ace nodded. 

"Where did you get that car?" He asked as he glances at it. I glance at it before looking at Trent and Ben. Ben looks at me and glances at Noah. I turn to Ace. 

"It was a Christmas gift." He hums. 

"Must be someone special to give you a gift like that." I nodded. 

"He was." Levi looked glanced at Noah before looking down. I cleared my throat as I looked at Ben. "I guess I can see what you have." He nods.

"No need," Noah said. I looked at him. 

"Meaning?" Noah smirks. 

"I'll race you." I let out a dry laugh. I wasn't really trying to lose to him once again.

"I think I'll take my chances with the beginners." He smirks. 

"Scared you'll lose?" Trent, Ben, and Ace all hiss. 

"Damn Hope. That sounds like a challenge." Trent said. I look at him. I told him what happened the first time I lost to Noah. He smiles as he winks at me. I shake my head. 

"Don't tell me that a racer with your talents is actually going to let him call you out like that?" Ace said. I looked at Ace. 

"He's not worth my time. I rather leave him with his title." I looked at Noah. "Wouldn't want your only loss to be by a girl." Noah chuckles. 

"Let me sweeten the deal for you. If you win you get my car." I rolled my eyes knowing this was sounding a bit familiar. I crossed my arms. 

"And if you win?" 

"You let me take your car for a spin." I about slapped myself. This was the exact deal I made with him before we raced the last time. 

"You just want to drive my car?" He nods. 

"You said a special friend gave it to you so taking it would be cruel. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to ride it." I look at Trent and Levi as they chuckle. They knew that this deal was the same as before. They both nodded. 

"Come on Hope. What do you have to lose?" Levi said. I let out a small laugh and look back at Noah. 

"Why not?" He smirks. 

"The crowd is going to love this," Ben said.
