Remi POV - Wellston Halls

'Looks like John still isn't ready to face Seraphina yet...' I thought as i facepalm myself. I was instantly snapped out of my thoughts when Seraphina started snapping in front of my face while calling my name.

"Remi? Are you ok? You seem pretty distracted."
I responded with "Sorry about that. I have a lot of things on my mind right now and i was just thinking about one of them."

"Remi. Where did John go?"

I felt all of her anger in that one sentence. She had every right to be upset. Her best friend just lied to her face for two years.
"I have no clue where he went. W-wait why do you think I know where he went?"

"Because you and him are starting to hang out a lot more now. I'm also starting to think you guys are becoming more than 'Friends'. Am i wrong?"
Seraphina read me like a book but i still had to tell her the truth.

"Yeah me and John are trying to be more than 'friends'. Even with that said though, I honestly have no clue where he went. I'm just afraid of how you will react more than anything."  she seemed confused about what i said.
"What do you mean 'afraid' ?" she asked becoming more serious.

I let out a small sigh. "John had a rough childhood and he has trust issues. He enrolled in wellston to start fresh. Because of his past is probably why he didn't tell you about his ability. He was scared of everyone seeing him as a monster, and he was even more scared of you leaving him because of who he was in his past."  I explained. "That's all i can tell you. If you want more of the story you will have to talk to John yourself."

Seraphina nodded her head in response and started walking to the student press room.

Seraphina POV - Press Room

"Isen." i called.
"Oh! Hey Seraphina, how have you been?"

"Good, but right now I need your help. I need to find John. Do you think you can help me with that?"

"I can try but i don't know if i can help if he isn't on the main school grounds. You should check the dorms after school to see if he is there. I'll text you if i find him."

"Alright."

John POV - Wellston Rooftop

'I almost completely forgot about Sera... Being with Remi makes me feel like someone actually cares about me. Sera has been my friend for a long time but it's just not the same. That still doesn't change the fact that she is probably furious or sad that i didn't tell her the truth. Dad was right. I waited too long to tell her. Now I might just lose her for good.'
I hear a click from the door behind me signaling me that it is being opened.

"We need to talk."

Sera POV

"We need to talk." i stated. "Don't even think about trying to leave again or i'll never trust you again."

"Okay Sera. I won't leave. But I want you to hear me out-

"No. I'll be the one asking questions and you will answer them honestly"

He nodded his head up and down telling me that he was alright with this.

"Why did you lie to me? I understand keeping your ability hidden from the school but why your best friend?"

"I was afraid you would see me as a monster and leave me..."

"Was our friendship even real? What else have you lied to me about?"

"Of course our friendship was real. It meant everything to me. The day i came home to you waiting for me at my doorstep and I collapsed, I had beaten Arlo down along with two of his subjects. I also lied about being fine after being interrogated by Keon. He gave me a form of PTSD and that's why i was so on edge afterwards. Those are the only things that i really lied to you about."

"When your dad was here, he asked me who was stronger. You or Me. I want to know everything about your ability."

" My ability is aura manipulation. It lets be control my natural aura along with my aura currents that are linked to my aura. It allows me to mimic the aura of another person and doing so let's me access their ability. If I apply my aura channels to this and let them go freely, the ability i have copied will be amped. I can store ability's that i want for a while. Over time they become weaker until they eventually disappear. I have also been practicing manipulating the aura of others. So far i can only weaken another persons ability for around a hour. In a few weeks i'll probably be able to amp other people's ability's. My passive let's me see the auras of others when they aren't using their ability. It also allows me to know their ability and what their level is. To Answer what you want to know, Yes I am stronger than you if you had your ability. I'm a level 9.3."

"I want to know the full story of what happened in your past. Remi told me this would be a sensitive topic to talk about but if I want to trust you I need to know.

-John proceeds to tell Sera about the New Bostin Incident and why he didn't tell anyone about his ability-

"That's it Sera. You know everything now."

"John. I can trust you... but i'm going to have to ask you to stay away from me for a while. I want to process everything and decide what i'll do about all of this. I appreciate your honesty, but this is goodbye for now." I said while leaving the rooftops.

I started tearing up while walking down the stairs of the school. Teardrops hit every the floor with every step down i took. I was happy that he told me the truth. But i am also so mad at what he has become....
