It was not that far from Todoroki and Yumiko's battle next. Shinso quickly grabbed the cup of expresso and went to find Yumiko. Shinso knew Yumiko when they were borned. Their mothers were best friends and partners when it came to hero duty. Shinso was special to Yumiko. He was her very first friend even after a few years, they still had playdates. They both told each other all their secrets. There were no lies in their relationship, only the truth, so both of them wondered, where did it all go wrong?
FLASHBACK
"Haha! Your quirk is not even suitable to be a hero, so why are you aiming to be one? Go be a villain instead?" The much older boys taunted and kicked the lilac haired boy as he continued to cry.
"Aww...how weak! Want your mummy?"
"I don't think there's anything wrong about his quirk, or the fact that he wants his mother." All the boys looked up to see a brown haired girl standing in the wind with a cold stare. "Ah...I see we got some company. Who might you be, little girl?" The boy asked, reaching for the iron bat behind his back. Yumiko did not even flinch but just squinted her eyes. "And who might you be, fat and lame boy?"
The boy growled in anger as he called his minions to attack the girl. "So you guys just follow him around like a bunch of (bungo) stray dogs? I can't believe it." She then proceeded to pull out her holographic screen. "Name, Kagi Niko, age thirteen, and oh- likes unicorns." Yumiko quirked up an eyebrow at the boy amusingly, while his minions retorted in disgust and ran away,
"Y-You made me l-lose my friends!" The boy cried out as he swung his bat around carelessly. "Well, you hurt mine." Yumiko said in a quiet voice while dodging the bat. "Just stop being a baby and get better friends that actually treat you like a human." She said coldly before punching him, helping Shinso get up and both of them escaped.
TIME SKIP
"Hey." "Hi." "...Thanks for saving me back there. It was quite risky." "No problem."
Both of them walked side by side, Yumiko staring hard at the floor while Shinso looked on in front, enjoying a silent and comfortable walk. "Yumiko, the principal could have seen you. You are popular in the school for being expelled."
Yumiko frowned. "Then how come those guys didn't recognise me?" Shinso shrugged. "What has gotten into you? You're not as energetic or talkative as usual." Shinso looked down at Yumiko who had tears brimming at the corner of her eyes. That's right. Yumiko was much much different when she was younger. Always seen with a carefree smile and her bubbly attitude would never fail to make others smile even when they were feeling down in the dumps. But for a particular reason today, she couldn't seem to smile at all.

"Oto-san, he-" "Was he abusing you again?" Shinso narrowed his eyes. He knew this was a hard topic for Yumiko as she didn't like talking about her family situation and her abusive father. "He was abusing me b-but...something came over me...l-like a weird feeling a-and I-I..." Shinso nodded and patted her shoulder, encouraging her to go on. She gulped.
