It's been a few years since you dated Kawanishi. You first met in your second year of high school. Then after multiple attempts to get him to notice you, he finally asked you out.

Attempting to get his attention was equivalent to getting a donkey to marry a dragon (shrek references*cough). It was rough but not impossible. You aproached him during lunch, giving him snacks and tagging along to any endevour he would do.

This obviously made the middle blocker annoyed, that he would ignore your presence and act like you weren't there. You were hearthbroken when one day you heard his words in the gym.

(flashback)

"Nee, Taichi~ Do you like (f/n)?" The red-haired guy asked his junior. Making him squint in disgust.

"What? No. Who would ever want to be with her?" Taichi bitterly said. Not realizing that you were at the gym enterance, with a sukiyaki coupon that you were going to give him.

Hearing what he said, your heart shattered and tears brimmed your eyes. Making you collide with someone, falling face flat on to the gym floor.

The bowl-cut guy, who ran into  you earlier looked shocked, and so did everyone inside. "A-are you okay, senpai?!" he stuttered. All you could feel was embarasment, you threw the coupon and ran oustide, heading home. 

Tendou walked over to examine the item you threw and felt bad for you. He showed said item to Kawanishi,

"Looks like she really wants to be with you." he said, patting his junior on the shoulder.

Kawanishi looked at the piece of paper. It's just a stupid piece of paper.

A few weeks have passed and you had successfully ignored Kawanishi. You got the memo that he didn't want to be with you, so you just avoided him. He's probably glad that I'm gone, you thought.

On the contrary, Kawanishi felt empty and rather annoyed that you weren't there to disturb him. After months of you tagging along with him, he got used to your constant blabbering. Although he didn't admit it, he somewhat enjoyed your annoying company.

One day, you were staying late to help with the festival committee. When he finished practice, he noticed you walking with a box full of supplies.

"Hey, Kawanishi. You coming for ramen?" Semi asked.

He looked at your figure again before excusing himself from the team to run after you.

"Ah, our little Taichi has become a man." Tendou said, proudly.
