Chapter 7

I woke up from the sunlight kissing my entire face. I smiled because I know it's the new representative of the chapter of my life.

New tomorrow is a new life, that is the course of every day and time that we face in the new beginning of our lives.

Wala na si mommy pagkalabas ko nang aking kwarto, hindi na ako nag abalang magtanong pa sa mga kasambahay kung nasaan siya dahil alam ko naman na nasa office na siya ngayon.

I smiled when I saw tatay Allan waited for me in the car garage.

"Saya natin, nak ah?" He said as if he was teasingly. Do I look happy now? Hindi ko alam pero ang ganda talaga nang araw ko ngayon.

"Ganda lang po gising ko, tay." He arched his brow as if he didn't believe what I've said to him.

"Sana all ganda 'yong gising" and he laughed as if there's a fun of what he'd said.

I rolled my eyes to him before I went inside the SUV.

He drives me to my school and left after taking me there. I smiled when I saw my two friends again, waiting for me inside the campus.

I wave my hands while approaching them. There's a lot of students whispering my name even though I hear them calling my name as if we're close.

"Tsk, feeling ganda!"

"Hindi din naman kagandahan!"

I rolled my eyes to them and ignored those toxic people trying to destroy my name. I didn't even care about them, no matter what damage they wanted to do to me they can't drag me down.

I stopped when I saw Alexis blocking my path. He was holding a bouquet. My lips parted when he gives it to me.

Alexis Vaughn Ignacio is a captain of basketball here in Benilde. I rejected him last month because I don't have any feelings for him.

I only offer him friendship, but he refused it! He said he'll never give up on me.

"I'm sorry if ngayon lang ulit ako nagpakita sa'yo. You know, I'm busy with my training this past few weeks." I gasped and give him a small smile. He took my hands and put the bouquet on my palm.

Wala naman sana akong balak tanggapin 'yon pero ayaw ko naman mapahiya ang isang tao sa harap nang madaming tao lalo na't sa mga kaibigan niya.

"Alex, we already talk about this-" He puts his pointed finger on my lips to make me shut.

"I know, Selen. I just want to make an effort for you. I want you to know that I'm serious with you."
