And there, I saw it.
Azrael. The Angel of Death itself.
It decided to use the same body from our meetings, though the voice is much more monotone. "Oi, child, what are ye doing there?" Yeah, the language is a little old, isn't it?
Quickly, I decided to respond to her greetings with a little sarcasm. "Y-yes, Azrael. Uh, as you can see here, I am pulling out the leaves because I wanted to make a tea." Well, you can make it from oak leaves, though. Yes, it completely tasted like you just bite it raw, unlike other types of teas. Yes, I am curious. Yes, I stuttered when I am talking to this flawless creature.
"Huh, stop playing dumb. Come, since I can't help ye completely, I can only teach ye how to send this disgraceful creature back to hell." And it teleported right in front of me, cushioned by its weapons of destruction. I have to remind myself countless times that they have no gender.
"So, what should I do?"
"Gimme yer hand." And I did. "Now, remember when I said on how to use magic?" I nodded. "Now, ye must let some of yours out from yer body, and transform it depending on yer capability and knowledge on how to use it correctly. Since ye wishes back in the Trial is to come back here, I've only doubled every single stats except for the outer part of yours, as it is already perfect as it is."
That explains why I am a little bit overpowered. Does that mean that I can bench press 700 kilograms now?
"Now, don't get excited, yer maturity and alc tolerance ain't one of them. What happened in the tavern is merely a luck God the Almighty decided to give." Thanks. Alcohol isn't healthy anyway, and it tasted as if mustard and coal are put together. Don't ask me how I reached that conclusion. "Anyway, now that yer here, I want ya t' focus on giving the trees yer mana."
"W-" I wanted to say why, but she cut my speech.
"Don't question why for thou shalt see the result later if thou do it correctly."
It suddenly reverted to thou. Ah well, wouldn't hurt to give the tree some of my mana. As some mana flowed from my fingertips, it continued, "Now, instead of just giving yer own mana, why won't thou just convert the mana around ye instead?" That sounds like a good idea. I tried to do it, and now I don't feel like my energy is absorbed. Knowing that the time is currently stopped, why not I have a little pep talk with the Help of God itself?
"So, uh, Izrael, why did come here in the first place?" I used the Islamic name of it, but its form still stayed the same.
"Thanks for referring my other name, and I came here for a reason, of course." It summoned a scroll from its right hand and opened it. "According to God's command, I am supposed to take the Worshipper of Asmodeus's soul, Vanargand Fenrir, and throw him to the Mouth of this realm's Beelzebub. While I can do that right away, you'll lose the experience point you're supposed to earn, and I will not earn the thrill of seeing its blood splutter. So far, all 5932 souls I am supposed to collect today in this realm either died from old age, disease or famine. The last two cause of death is specifically at the Ettanah region down Southwest, 1543.7 kilometres from where you are right now." The scroll dissolved. "So I thought, why not teach this child, watch some more blood being shed and let him get to Level 38? It is a win-win situation." And she then gave the most lunatic grin I've ever seen.
"You're a lunatic,", Is all I could say, before I continued, "But if it is for me, then I'd appreciate it." Well, Level 38 sounds nice.
"Now, some reincarnatee (That's a word that I made up, bearing the same meaning as a reincarnated person. Kind of like a combination of 'reincarnate' and most words that end with double e, such as committee and trainee.) can use light-type mana to attack an enemy from a wall of some sort. Now, I wanted to see you do it as well."
