"No. Stop it."
It had been a month since their last encounter. Those words kept ringing in her head. Yeji can't differentiate whether she is glad or sad.
Yeji had determined to let go but the words replay in her mind over and over again. She is guilty to leave Jisu in the park because her emotion won the best of her, and the excessive tease. Or perhaps Jisu was very uncomfortable to say the least. They just met for God's sake.
She sighs.
"Yo, rough day?"
A woman holding a pouch sits next to her. Plain clothes with color stains here and there hugged her petite frame. Yeji never understood her fashion taste but she has her own charisma with it. All it takes for the woman is a mere side glance to the bartender and her drink comes almost immediately. Yeah, certainly the boss of this place gets priority service.
"I saw a lady earlier. Pretty. I went to greet a fellow acquaintance for a while and poof she gone."
Yeji gulps the shot in one go. She takes another shot, and another, and another one. Her companion keeps rambling about the lady's beauty although Yeji isn't that interested. The weather is chilly outside so here she is, simply to warm her body.
Maybe there is other thing. A hidden purpose she was doing intentionally, like trying to erase the last words Jisu said by drowning in alcohol?
"Oh! There she is...meh she is with someone. Hey look at her and stop ignoring me you antisocial woman."
Yeji put down her glass. "Shut up will you? I just want to enjoy my night in peace."
But Yeji searches for the said 'pretty lady' nonetheless. No, she isn't going to hook her up or something, just a little bit curious. Her eyes land on a woman's back. Familiar.
"Where is the lady you said again?"
As finger points to the woman's familiar back, her face turning sideways and finally visible. It is indeed her. Yeji glares at Chaeyoung. "You can't."
Chaeyoung was left dumbfounded as Yeji keeps an eye on them. Most importantly to the man next to her.
Slick neat hair of overusing pomade, spotless wrinkles on his suit, square spectacles and silver Rolex are the signs of his position, or rather to show off his wealth. The man obviously wants to score Jisu tonight. Almost, as the latter is currently under the booze. He dared to touch her, hand is gripping on her waist and the other caressing the smooth skin on her arm sneakily. Clearly Jisu has low tolerance of alcohol and she tries hard to get off his skinship. However, the man is persistent. Yeji is sickened out by his creepy pervert grin. She stands up and approaches their seats.
As she walks nearer the man gets even more daring. His hand roams on Jisu's exposed thigh thanks to her tight, a bit short, pencil skirt. Yeji walks faster toward their seats. The man doesn't seem to stop but a blinding flash caught him off.
"What the hell..."
The man turns around to find the culprit. Yeji used her instant camera and saved the picture in her jacket pocket. "I believe you did inappropriate things, sir."
The man rises up looking pissed off. He snatches the instant camera and smashes it down, creating a buzz and attracting crowds. Jisu also turns around to see her hero—or heroine—whose face blurry.
"Mind your own business, punk!"
The instant camera was barely in shape. Yeji stares at its shattered pieces, not minding those mouths exchanging wonders and comments at the back which feels like unclear background noises.
"Happy birthday baby! For you~"
"Ca-camera? Wow, I-"
"Save what you wanna say later. Now take a pic of me and let me be the first this camera capture picture of!"
"I'm talking to you, bitch!"
Harsh grab on her collar brought her senses back. The man is fuming and seem ready to fight. "You wanna mess with me huh? You don't know who the fuck I am—"
"This is a club to have fun, not to harass someone. You son of a bitch, get out of my place."
Son Chaeyoung, the boss of Fancy, the club they are in shows up and speaks in a tone full of authority. Two bouncers cut across the circle of people, ready to catch the bad guy.
"No matter how high the position you have in your company, it's so low of you to act that way you know?"
He scoffs but surrender anyway. He was lucky, or so he thought, that Chaeyoung didn't mention the police. But of course she won't let that filthy man slip off her memory.
After the short ruckus, Chaeyoung took the wrecked instant camera. "I'm sorry I couldn't save this."
"None of your fault. Throw it away."
Chaeyoung turns to Jisu's direction. "Well, what are you standing here for? You have unfinished business with the lady over there."
Yeji only nods and make her way to the bar. A few people around her were still whispering as she walks nearer toward Jisu. She heard a few cool's and ooh's and flirtatious looks shot to her way but no, Yeji doesn't give a single damn about it. It has been a long cold day and she is tired and angry. Angry without any clear reason why. Angry to the man? To Jisu? Or...to herself? She clenches her fist unconsciously.
Jisu slouches down on the bar table, clearly knocked out by the liquor. Yeji lets out a harsh breath. She carries her carefully on her back with the bartender's help. Fortunate enough she brought her car to work today because the chilly air starts to become unbearable. She heads out to where her car is, to escort Jisu home.
Arrived at the parking lot, at the side of the passenger seat car door, Yeji opens it and slowly positioning Jisu's body on the seat. The faint light peeking from Yeji's back illuminates her pretty face. She stops to stare. This distance that isn't more than thirty centimeters make it easier for her to scan the features sculpted perfectly by the God. Eyes, nose, lips.
That lips.
Jisu opens her eyes slowly. Her eyes as dark as galaxy. Yeji knows that isn't the original color for it is dark brown in daylight. Those eyes are droopy looking at her. She smiles. Her hands reach out and finally pull her in embrace.
"Yeji...you're here."
They stay silent, Jisu inhales her body odor, Yeji ignores the cold trying to interrupt their moment. Don't know how long it takes as the time seem to freeze. When the time felt ticking again, Jisu pulls away first. Her hands now cup the sides of Yeji's cheeks.
"You know..the last time...we met, I was curious...how it feels like..to kiss your lips."
A hiccup.
"And I...miss you..sooo bad. I'm sorry. Please, please don't..disappear, don't leave me..."
She shed a tear or two but remain beautiful in Yeji's eyes. Her fingers brush away the tears in silence.
That red lips which has cupid's bow and in general curvy and thin curl up into a smile. Yeji watches her every gestures but this one she missed out. Jisu connects their lips so suddenly. It's just a lip-to-lip kind of kiss at the beginning. Turns out Jisu is needy and the kiss deepen. The soft suckling on her lower lip, shy pokes of her tongue, small pecks, Yeji just give in. Perhaps she lose control as the alcohol is running in her system too. That or Yeji is intoxicated by the woman she barely knows. A push in the crook of her neck intensifies their little secret sin.
Jisu's lips stop moving, her breath steady. Yeji opens her eyes to see a sleeping beauty whose lips red and glisten, wonder of her work just a mere seconds ago. She puts on the seatbelt for her and places her jacket on her thighs. Memories of the previous event at the club make her sigh as she walks to the driver seat. Before going off, she stares at Jisu again.
"You're drunk, Jisu."

Last night Yeji stopped by a pharmacy to buy painkillers for Jisu in case she doesn't have stock in her apartment. After that she went to Jisu's apartment, entering the unit easily because she found the key in Jisu's purse. She laid her down in her bed, watching her sleeping until one message, one that made her left immediately popped up.

I need you now.She drove back home like a madman. The woman her heart yearned for stood in front of her door. Lips welcomed each other. They felt like starting all over, like their young selves, like lovers. Bodies didn't leave each other between rushed movements and short breaths. Her heart soared, her mind taking in this memory, and her lips screaming her name and vice versa. This kind of moment Yeji felt like she is given second chance.
While in reality it was a figment. Nothing more than a short pass in their separate lives that happen to clash only at strange occasions. A fool being used to feed her past lover's lust.
Now Yeji is trying to focus on the films. Purposely woke up early to spend her time in the dark room, avoiding to feel blue.
She is ready for what is coming next.
The dark room door clicks open. Darker red silhouette approaches her. It's quite hazy to decipher her expression in the room but Yeji knows her too well.
She throw away the equipments around her.
"You're dumb. So fucking dumb, Yeji. Your presence disgust me. You have addictions, all the same. You keep doing it but it's killing you. Cigarette and me. So stupid. No wonder you're like this."
That was her ex. Yeah, Yeji doesn't know either what makes her like this. She couldn't, can't stop. She is holding on to what? Hope? Their strings had been broken long time ago. Yet Yeji still loves her.
Unfortunately her ex doesn't feel the same. She came here to use Yeji, only that. Just like friends for benefits but it's unilateral because there's still feelings between and they never spoke about it. Yeji just go along simply because once again love is her reason.
Ryujin slaps her and leaves the dark room. Polaroids scattered. Heart shattered.
So..uh I changed the characters. The Ryujin in early chapters is changed to Chaeryeong because I can't stop myself to add a Ryeji/DdaengDdong drama :>
