RIVER sat in the office chair, boredly watching as Rebekah flicked through Klaus' drawings. She picked one up, beginning to tear up, throwing from the table in a fit of rage. River rolled his eyes as Damon moved into the room.
"You should know better than to sneak up on a lady" Rebekah stated.
"Good advice" Damon spoke "Have you seen one?"
Rebekah turned, glancing at Damon.
"Tragic about Elena" River stood with a grin "Not to make a grey cloud greyer, but does Matt even have automobile insurance?"
Damon rushed towards him, the white oak stake in hand, River grinning wildly, doing nothing to fight Damon, Rebekah instead holding the vampire's wrist back. Rebekah forced Damon against the dresser, the vampire dropping the stake. Both Rebekah and River became immobilised as wooden bullets began flying through the window, Damon speeding away. Rebekah turned, receiving an arrow to the heart, River receiving the same, the pair of them dying, temporarily.

River sat in the back of the van, doped up on vervain, his hands tied with vervain ropes, his body weak as he sat beside Rebekah, Caroline beside the blonde.
"Vervain ropes" Caroline stated "Looks like Alaric outed us all to the Council"
"The Council?" Rebekah questioned "What exactly do they think they can do to us?"
Rebekah's words were cut off by the wheels screeching, the van flipping, sending glass flying. The van landed on its side, its vampire inhabitants all groaning.
"What the hell happened?" Rebekah questioned.
River laughed weakly from his seat.
The back door of the van suddenly opened, breaking off to reveal Tyler.
"Tyler?" Caroline questioned, shock in her voice.
"I'm harder to kill than you think" Tyler stated.
" You're alive?" Caroline cried as he ripped the ropes from her "How are you alive?"
"No time" He argued "Come on, we've got to go
"Wait, what about me and River?" Rebekah questioned.
Tyler looked down at her, sending her a small smirk.
"Keep 'em busy, little sister!"
Tyler exited the van, Rebekah filling with shock, angry at her brother.
"Of course" Rebekah scoffed, River's head still ringing, hearing nothing of the conversation.
Rebekah began struggling to no avail
-
River coughed weakly as the vervain-tainted air circulated through the barn and the cells they were trapped in. He looked up, seeing Elena in the cage opposite him, rolling his eyes as she began to sit up, holding her head.
"I thought I killed you" River spoke.
"Where am I?" Elena wondered.
"They thought you were a vampire, so they stuck you in here with us" Rebekah stated.
"Where's Stefan?" Elena worried.
"Elena, I'm right here" Stefan spoke from the cage adjacent "Are you okay?"
"Stefan" Elena began, the girl tried to pull herself up only to fall back down "I didn't feed"
River smirked, seeing the worry on Stefan's face.
"I see what's going on here" Rebekah spoke "You died with vampire blood in your system and you didn't feed and now you're locked up in here without a drop of human blood in sight, that is a problem"
"Just ignore them" Stefan advised.
"Has anyone done the math or shall I?" River grinned "I'd say you've got less than three hours to feed before I get to watch you die all over again"
Elena tried to break through the bars, failing instantly.
"My day just got a whole lot better" River sighed.
River leaned back against the wall, a smirk on his face.
-
The light had faded from the sky, darkness taking over as night fell upon Mystic Falls, the vampires all stuck inside their cells.
"Stefan" Elena gasped.
"What happened?:
"I'm out of time" Elena breathed "I need blood, I'm dying"
"Oh, that is a shame" River murmured with a smirk.
Stefan pulled himself up, leaning against the bars.
"Hey! Anyone, hey!" Stefan shouted.
"Will you shut up?!" Rebekah whined.
"You think we're afraid of you?" Stefan taunted.
A human opened the door to the barn, a gun on his hand as he approached Stefan's cage.
"You want more vervain?" The human questioned "Keep it down"
"Listen to me" Stefan pleaded "Elena's gonna die if you don't let her out of here"
The human glanced as Elena, the girl pale and lacklustre, weak and on the edge of death.
"Sorry, not my problem" The guard replied, River laughed.
"She's innocent!" Stefan shouted "Let her out!"
The human began to walk away, Stefan speeding about his cage.
"Let her out!" Stefan shouted.
The human raised his gun, shooting Stefan in the stomach, the vampire falling to the ground.
"Stop!" The human commanded.
Stefan stood again, speeding towards the bars.
