New love at New Year - Chapter 1

Sherlock's POV:

It was the last day of the year 2014, and I was spending it with my best friend, John Watson. I never though that I would have a friend, a best friend, and I was really happy about that.

But the last few weeks it had changed a bit, I felt something....different, something that I only felt when I was around him. Every time he looked me I felt something in my stomach, and I couldn't think clear anymore, which was quite new for me. But I couldn't figure out what it was, so I just tried to ignore it.

We had spend the time until midnight with watching some movies on TV, I had recieved grinds from John in movies, he realized that I didn't knew the most popular movies.

While we had been watching the movies we had been sitting close to each other on the sofa, and again I had felt that strange feeling again. But somehow it had felt more...comfortable, I mostly enjoyed sitting so close to John.

Sometimes I felt his eyes leaning on my face, and when I looked back he fast looked to the TV again and I sweared I could see a little blush on his cheeks. But when I looked back at the TV too, he started looking in my direction again.

A few minutes before midnight we went with our glasses on the roof of the house, John had never known that there was existed something like a balcony, but from up there we had an impressive view of the city.

Then it was midnight, and the fireworks were shining colourful on the sky. We were both really impressed. "Happy New Year, John", I said and smiled at him. "Happy New Year, Sherlock", he said and smiled back. When I saw his smile, I couldn't stop looking at his lips. They were just.....perfect.

Just in the moment I thought that I was shocked. Why was I thinking such strange things? Why am I acting so weird in the presence of him? But I tried to thust the thought aside.

Suddenly I head somebody calling my name, and it was John. I had been so deep in thoughts that I hadn't heard him.

"You're alright?", he asked.

"What? Oh yeah I'm fine.", I answered. Then I smiled again.

Then he made a step towards me and gave me a big hug.

At that moment I coulnd't think straight anymore. It was just wonderful feeling his arms wrapped aroud my body and feeling his body warmth. When he noticed that I wasn't hugging him he pulled away, but then I returned the hug.

I don't know how long we stood there, hugging each other but it was a great feeling. A big smile was on my lips, and I swore I could feel John smilimg as well. I felt my heart beating fast, and that was the moment I realized what was happening with me.

I am in love. I am in love with John Watson.

A/N: So, I'm sorry that I couldn't post the story yesterday, but I'm gonna try to finish it as soon as possible, I don't have planned anything today so I can work more on my story.
