Norma woke up to the sound of rain on the window of a bedroom she was all too familiar with. When she looked over Alex wasn't in bed. Norma stretched to look at the alarm clock on the bed that said 3:23.
She was confused. Why wasn't Alex in bed? She threw the covers off of her and instantly was hit by a breeze. Her naked body felt so cold. She looked around for a shirt, put it on then went to find her husband. She searched everywhere until she saw the light on in the living room. It was the light of a tv, Alex was up at three in the morning flipping through channels. As Norma walked into the doorway a board creaked causing Alex to jump as he turned.
"Oh Norma... did I wake you?" He sighed
Norma leaned against the door frame "No I woke up and you weren't there. Are you okay it's only three AM. You seem like you're wide awake..?" Norma knew Alex and something wasn't right.
Alex takes in a deep breath as the love of his life approaches "I haven't been sleeping. I'll lay there 20 minutes then get up. I-" he stops for a second "I don't like what I see when I sleep."
Norma sits next to him knowing exactly what he sees. She gently grabs his hand and places it on her heart.
"I'm not going anywhere." Her tone was soft and loving. As soon as he looked into her eyes he broke that's all it took. The feeling of her heart beat and her blue orbs looking at him with all the love in the world. He starts crying hard, pulling his pregnant wife close to him. Norma let him cry, she knew he needed closure. After his sobs subside Norma takes his hand once again this time placing it on the small bulge in his tee shirt she was wearing.
"We're not going anywhere." Her voice cracks as she reassures him that it's all going to be okay. Alex swiftly pulls her into his arms
"I love you Norma." He pulls away slightly, kissing her softly then pulling away to look into her eyes. There was so much they hadn't talked about because of Norma pushing him away for those few months. He missed her so much more than he realized. Their heads pressed together Norma smiles, "I love you too Alex... I love you so much." She leans into kissing him with force and passion. Alex doesn't hesitate to kiss her back with the same about of force. Their tongues begin fighting for dominance. What was a soft moment turned into a moment of passion. His hands touching every part of her he can get. When he gets to the hem of her shirt he swiftly takes it off. Norma breaks away from him for a second to assist him in taking off the shirt. As soon as it's off she discards it on the floor then reaches for his pajama pants as he starts kissing her neck. Norma slides her hand down his plaid bottoms grabbing his hardness, slowly rubbing it as he sends her into madness from the sucking of her collarbone. He lets out a soft moan as she pulls him out of his pants.
He starts kissing down her chest to her belly. Then he takes his time kissing all over her belly, smiling up at her as she looked down at him. Norma pulls Alex on top of her, wrapping one arm around his neck and the other hand guiding his member to her entrance. As she feels the tip of him enter her she gasps which makes him stiffen harder. He keeps pushing deeper into her as she arched her back and digs her nails into his shoulder. He starts trusting at a slow pace until he hears a mumbled, "harder." This makes him pick up the pace. Hitting her in just the right spot. Their bodies in perfect rhythm as they both finish at the same time. Her arms were still around his neck as he collapses onto her. They both try to catch their breath.
"Now I'm definitely tired." He chuckles into her neck.
"Let's go back to bed Mr. Romero."
The pair go to the bedroom where they sleep like babies for the rest of the night.

Alex woke up at 5 to get ready for work. He made a pot of coffee ate some eggs then went to his room to get his uniform on. As he was putting his gun in his belt he heard Norma grunt. When he looked over she was stretching. As the blonde woman stretched every muscle she could the blanket fell off of her, exposing her naked torso. Alex smiled as he walked over to her.
"Good morning." He reaches down to kiss her then her belly. She smiled wide as the man put his lips on her bump. She felt flutters under her skin which made her smile more. "Good morning." Her hoarse tone making Alex look up.
"Did you sleep well my love?" She asked lightly.
"I did." He kisses her, "You should go back to bed," he kisses her forehead "I'll come by during lunch to see you. Are you going to the motel today?"
She nods as she stretches again "I need to clean the rooms plus Dylan and Emma are there."
"Oh that's good." He smiles
"Yeah. It's nice to see him."
He kisses her "I'm heading out. I'll see you later." He kisses her bump again, "Goodbye little avocado." He rubs her belly.
Norma bust out laughing "Avocado?" She chuckles now sitting up on her elbows.
"Yeah. You're about 16 weeks. It's the size of an avocado."
Norma looks at him with confusion.
"I googled it."
When he says that her heart flutters in her chest. She could see how excited he was. She cups his cheeks then kisses him. "I love you."

As Norma pulls up to the motel Dylan and Emma were sitting outside on the bench drinking coffee. Norma puts her car in park and walk over to them.
Dylan had a smirk on his face. He knew where she was and why she was wearing the same clothes at the day before.
"Hey Norma.." he smiles
She's taken aback "What are you smiling about?"
Emma clears her throat "You're wearing the same clothes." She smiles big "Were you at Alex's?"
She looks down blushing "oh uhm.." she chuckles putting a piece of her messy hair behind her ear. "Yes actually." She starts walking to her room "I'm going to change and shower then we'll go get breakfast."
Dylan walks up to her "Actually mom... I was thinking we go up to the house.. maybe eat something home cooked.." She stiffens "I know you have to be tired of wearing the same couple of outfits. Let's go up there."
Norma's face feels hot she doesn't want to she hasn't even been upstairs. When she went up to the house for the first time she got up one step then got too overwhelmed, grabbed her laundry basket, and never looked back.
"Dylan, I can't." Her voice broke
He hugs his mom "We'll do it together. I've got you mom." She hugged Dylan tight. Tears started forming in her eyes.
"You've got me too Norma." Emma hold her hand.

Norm was looking up at the flight of stairs. She hasn't moved or said anything for a few minutes.
"Just let her do it herself." Emma holds Dylan back as he was about to talk.
Norma swallowed the knot forming in her throat and took a step.
Every step she took felt like a chain dragging at her lungs. When she walked around the banister to the spot where Alex was pressing on her chest. She could still hear him. Her body went limp and she started sobbing.

"Please baby. Wake up!"
She felt a pain in her chest as she sat up. She coughed her lungs out. Her head hurt and everything was blurry. She could hear Alex

"Norma.. Norma baby..."
When Alex got to the motel and saw that no one was there other than guests. He walked up to the house where Dylan was screaming at Norma. Alex could only think that this was another time Norma was triggered into becoming dissociative.
"Norma! Honey! Please come back to us. You're okay."

She took a sharp gasp as she got a grip on reality. "Alex!" She sobbed
It took almost an hour to get her to calm down. She laid there with Alex. Her head on his shoulder and her hand in his.
"I don't want to live here. I want to move into your house." She didn't move her eyes , they were locked on the spot where she almost died.
"Okay." He looked at her
Alex hated seeing her like this. He knew she loved this house but too much has happened here they have to move on.
If moving into his house will make her happy, that's what they'll do.
