OMG YOU GUYS are so damn kind! I love all of you. I'm sorry I couldn't reply to all your messages on the wall but I've read them all and I appreciate you babies with all heart ♥️
I'm sorry I'm behind on updates. School had me stuck with work but I'm almost done now. I couldn't get through the day without updating the book 🥺 so I had to...

Seikan was confident all through the qualifiers. She broke the opponents one by one. Her coldness grew with every victory she added to her kitty and her heart strung with every step she took towards facing Shiratorizawa. That was her goal, her ulterior motive for now. She didn't know what she'd do once she'd achieved it but that was all she thought of for now.

"SEI CHAN!"

"SEIII CHAAANN!"

She turned to shoot a glare at Bokuto, but froze when she saw his glowy, sunflower like irises. She had never seen that kind of warmth before, he was beaming brighter than anything she'd come across. She kept it cold and stoic like she always did. He was rather too chirpy and cheerful for her. She didn't want friends, she didn't have interest in making any either and even if his loud personality irked her, something about him always caught her eye.

"GANBARE!!" He smiled wide placing his hand against his hip while the other flicked a thumb up and her heart skipped a beat, cracking the cold glacier that was endlessly growing within her.

"Hai" was all she said advancing to the finals"

Seikan noticed a change in Itachiyama's gameplay within the first five serves. One of Japan's top aces in their team had a powerful spike and any block against her were proving to be useless. Seikan knew that if her hands were to try stopping the ball, they'd snap. The score difference was increasing.

"Bring it back" she said. Although their team was taken aback that she spoke, they listened to her.

"Okay, we're in trouble. Seikan just spoke" Fukurodani's captain said with a smile. She was delighted that Seikan began working. The Anubis had been awakened.

Fukurodani played with a dying spirit until Seikan spiked an unforeseen direct so mean, their spirits came back to life. The whole course of their game changed by the end of the first set.

"She wasn't playing much until their defeat was certain"

"Oh, she's mean."

"Was she toying with Itachiyama?"

"No, that's just her"

"SEIII CHAAAANN!!!" Bokuto's voice made her want to go into hiding. He was an embarrassment. "NICE KILLL!" He turned to Akaashi "AKAASHHII CHEER FOR HER!"

"SEIII CHAAAAAANNN!!"

"Sei chan..." Akaashi cooed because Bokuto wouldn't stop otherwise.

Seikan wasn't as jumpy as the others because she knew that their victory was certain. She quietly slipped out of the celebration and made her way towards the bus, her hand loosely holding the MVP trophy.

"Seikan!" A few guys outside waved at her but she pretended to not listen like she always did.

"Hey, stop" they followed her.

"Sei chan!!!" She stopped when she heard Bokuto's voice.

"Why are you here? Your team is still ins-" Bokuto paused to glare at them.

"What do you want?" They asked him.

"I'm here to take her back inside" he grumpily held her hand and pulled her away "Mind your business" he scowled at them.

"Sei chan! Why would you wander away like that? It's dangerous" he said watching her giddily eye her shoes "My eyes are up here" he said and she raised her head but wouldn't dare to look at him.

"You're really a chicken" he scoffed "Don't always keep your head down, you might not recognise my face one day"

She knew that was a lie. Even if she forgot her own face, she wouldn't forget his adorable one. She eyed his strong arms, they looked so warm and cozy she inched away from him to refrain herself from feeling anything she felt was very wrong.

They heard a kid scream from near the gates of the stadium and ran towards the voice. They saw a red ball of mess barely breathing in the corner. One of the kids who was playing around spotted it in the dark corner and freaked out.

Seikan let out a soft gasp when she saw a grown bulldog with almost no fur on her, shaking in the corner. She immediately took out her jacket and tried to wrap it around the dog. "She's not breathing well" she softly said carrying the heavy canine in her fragile arms.

"Let's go to the doctor!!!"

"We have to keep her warm and focus on getting some nutrition into her" the vet was very patient "We have to observe her for the next 24 hours. We can treat her once her system ingest the medication so she has to get a little stronger first"

"I'll stay here with her" Seikan didn't waste a second in telling the doctor.

"I'll stay with you too!" Bokuto said.

"It's okay..."

"I want to" he insisted.

Seikan looked as expressionless as ever but her face had grown dull, the small frown that twitched her lips was moving Bokuto's heart and soul. He'd never seen her so expressive before.

"It's okay, she'll make it" he held her hand and she looked at him. She didn't have any hopes left. She remembered her own dog that passed away a few years ago, she remembered how weak he looked when he died. And when she saw this one at the Gymnasium she couldn't feel worse.

"I don't know..." she whispered.

"Sei chan..." she saw Bokuto shift a little to wrap his jacket around her "You seem cold"

"No-"

"It's alright..." he slight sunk in his seat before resting her head on his shoulder "You rest, okay? I'll take care of it until you're up. I'll wake you up when the doctor has news."

She heard her heart in her ears as she laid her head on his shoulder, it was exactly like she'd imagined, so warm and cozy. She moved closer in her sleep, her head resting on his chest as she succumbed to his warmth and cuddled against him like a puppy. His face painted with red, his hands began to tremble as he slowly wrapped it around her to hold her securely in his arms. He never thought he was capable of having her so close to him and the feeling made his heart fly into the clouds.

He tilted his head to look at her sleeping baby face and brushed the hair away from her face, delicately tucking it behind her as his eyes traced all her features from up close. He was gentle enough to not wake her up; he liked how her ear was directly against his heart. He knew that if she were awake she could tell that he was flustered.

"Sei chan..." he whispered tightening his hold "I hope I'm warm enough for you"

Little did he know that Seikan had the best sleep in her life that evening.
