A shocked gasp was heard as blood spilled on the floor as Ray caught the spear in his hands as it managed to pierced his shoulder as Ray grunted in pain as he grabbed the spear and pulled it out as he held the spear as he stared up at the Fallen Angel as he was gasping for air as he was losing a lot of blood as he held himself up with the spear as Emilia was shocked that he not only managed to catch the sword but also survive the initial attack as she made another spear and threw it at Ray again as he used the spear he had caught to block the spear as he screamed as he was sent crashing into the ground as he grunted and struggled to get back up as he stood back up slowly as he glared at Emilia as Emilia was shocked once again
Emilia: How did you do it!? My spear should be too fast for you to block! You're just a weak human!
Ray panting heavily: Your attack pattern is easy to read you aim for my heart it's true your spear is too fast for me but since you keep aiming for my heart as long I react fast enough to block my heart your spear's speed is useless argh
Ray fell to his knees as he was heavily exhausted as he struggled to keep his left eye open as he glared at her with his right eye as he stood up as she got ready to throw another spear when Ray reacted as she expected him to block as she was caught off guard as he threw the spear at her as it pierced her stomach as she coughed up blood as Ray groaned and fell back to his knees as he held his bleeding shoulder as Emilia fell to the ground as she created a small crater as she growled as she stood back up badly hurt but still in fighting condition as Ray couldn't win as she growled as she pulled out the spear as she threw it away as Ray grabbed the other one she threw as he ran at her with his remaining strength as the two charged at each other as the spear pierced her as they stood there not moving when suddenly Ray cough out blood and fell to his knees as it was showed that the spear went between her side and arm completely missing Emilia as Ray had a dagger made of light in his stomach as he glared up at her as she flew up as she too was losing to much blood
Emilia: We'll call it a draw for now
With that she disappeared as everything went back to normal as Ray grunted as he stood up as he was slowly bleeding out as he limped towards a light as he walked into a gas station as he collapsed on the ground as the cashier called an ambulance as the people inside tried to help him by trying to stop the bleeding
A few hours later Ray awoke in a hospital bed as he looked around and didn't see anyone as suddenly someone walked in

The women then noticed that he was awake as she smiled happily
???: Oh good you're awake for a moment I didn't think you would wake up
Ray: Um where am I?
???: You're at Kuoh Hospital you were brought here from a gas station as you collapsed due to blood loss and the nice people of Kuoh called an ambulance and stopped the bleeding for a short while until you were safely in the hospital where we gave you immediate treatment and I'm going to be quite frank with you the amount of blood you had loss and the distance the cops found you walked as well as how long you stayed in one area well it's a miracle you survived any normal person would have died before even leaving the center of the park so how did you do it?

Ray was confused and shocked as he realized what she was asking as he once again closed his eyes as he smiled as he shed some tears as the burden of being alone was suddenly taken away as he felt lighter
Ray: Of course....mother
Alexadra was happy as she smiled and hugged the child as she left to fill in the paperwork as Ray looked out his window to see a beautiful sky as suddenly he saw a bird a red bird the same color as fire itself looking at him and chirped happily as it flew up towards the sun as it disappeared as Ray couldn't help but smile as he whispered
Ray: Thank you for everything...good bye mom until we meet again...
