Dwarves are small, stocky people with beards. There are 13 dwarves in The Hobbit: Thorin Oakenshield the leader of the group, Fili, Kili, Balin, Dwalin, Oin, Gloin, Dori, Nori, Ori, Bifur, Bofur and Bombur. The main aim of the dwarves were to regain control of Erebor (the lonely mountain) from the dragon Smaug.
