CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR
Mystery

"What were you thinking?!"

Nakaupo akong pinakikinggan si Mommy na kinakausap ako. Her face looked so worried and stressed.

"Greece... you went there without telling a single word to us? What were you thinking?" Tayo ni Mommy sa harap ko.

Wala akong masagot at ayaw ko nang sumagot pa, baka magalit siya sa akin. I don't want Mommy to be upset as she is right now.

Manang came up to her, helping Mom to calm down since Dad is not with her. Hindi sila magkasamang umuwi, susunod daw si Dad, ewan ko kailan basta susunod daw siya.

"Manang, I expected a lot from you. Bakit hindi mo sinabi sa akin na umalis si Aria?"

My head shot up to them both, "Ma, it's my fault. Walang alam si Manang." Rason ko.

"I'm not talking to you, Aria." Mommy snapped which caught me off guard.

I furrowed my brows and felt so guilty, she's never like this to me.

"Pasensya na, Sandra. Akala ko kase kasama niya si Ysa na nagbabakasyon." Manang explained but Mommy wasn't convinced.

Disappointed na disappointed ang mukha ni Mommy na tinitignan kami ni Manang. "Leave us to talk, Manang. Mamaya na tayo mag-usap."

Napabuntong hininga ako nang napagtantong hindi pa niya ako tapos kausapin. "I said I was sorry."

"Who were you with?" Mommy tried herself to calm down, sitting across me.

Biting my lip, "Si Hayes."

Mommy's finger twitched when she heard me, "You were with a guy."

Tumango ako, I know being a trip with a guy alone is inappropriate but it was Hayes. They trust him naman diba?

"And who initiated the trip?"

"It was Hayes' birthday gift for m—." I wasn't able to finish when she stands up again, "A birthday gift? Unbelievable." She chuckled.

What is wrong with her? Why is she making a big deal about this? Buti nga si Hayes bumabawi, pero sila? Sila ang unbelievable!

"Paano kung nagkasakit ka ha? Hayes doesn't know anything about your amnesia, I can't risk anyone to know about your condition!"

Napanganga ako, "I'm fine! I'm safe, and Hayes was with me at all times. Bakit ba para ang big deal sayo, Mommy? What's wrong if Hayes would find out about my accident a year ago?"
