- Vic's P.O.V -

Apparently I'm spending my time off of school at Kellin's da- Joe's house, to be honest I'm quite thrilled. Not only will I be able to keep an eye on his creepy step brother Jack, but maybe I'll be able to get to know Kellin's other creator. I wonder what he works as? Probably something promising, like a spy, or a ninja! I glanced over at Kellin, he was currently placing some tape where his aglet should be. My eyes trailed over to the clock on the wall, oh no...

We're late to Mr. Way's class.

"Hey Kell, how about we get going now," I chuckled nervously, lifting Kellin up and dragging him away.

Kellin looked up at me with a bored look on his face, "M-My shoelace..." he murmured, averting his eyes onto his untied shoelaces, "Gosh Vic, why're you in such a hurry?" he asked, sounding childish- unless it was just me.

I froze at the question, "Why am I in such a hurry...?" I repeated, slowly, "I should be asking you why you aren't in such a hurry! Do you know who we're dealing with here!?" I'm honestly so very concerned with Kellin's well being, he's showing no signs of fear.

"We're dealing with Mr. Way." he stated calmly, staring at me with a blank look on his face, "Look, we're here. Now we just walk in and take our seats, seriously- what're you all worked up about?" he mumbled, opening the door and pushing me in, walking in behind me.

We not only got the whole classes attention, but Mr. Way's too.

Scary

Mr. Way frowned, pausing whatever it was they were going over to give us his full undivided attention, "You do know being late to class is unacceptable..." he stated- he didn't ask because he already knew the answer, even scarier. He stood there with his arms crossed, giving us both unimpressed looks.

"I'm so sorry, it won't happen again!" I shouted quickly, refusing to look him in the eye. Rumor has it, the last kid who ever looked into Mr. Way's eyes ended up hospitalized, no one knows his name, but I'm not doubting the story, man.

I looked over at Kellin, just to see the idiot spacing off again. This idiot was fearless.

Mr. Way tilted his head to the side, "Just remember that the early crow gets the worm," he somehow preached- well, it seemed like preaching to me.

Kellin pursed his lips, "But the late worm doesn't get eaten," he responded, confidently.

I gasped.

"Rest in pieces, dude..." Jessie mumbled quietly, from somewhere in the back of the classroom.

Mr. Way stood there quietly for, well, more than five seconds, I'd say, "Well then, are you the crow or the worm?" he asked slyly, "Hmm, Kellin?" Mr. Way smirked.

Kellin kept his confident posture, until the words seem to suddenly hit him, his shoulders went slack. "Sorry for being late, it will never happen again." he spoke monotonously, making his way to his seat without another word.

I kept my eyes on him even after he'd taken a seat, until I realized that everyone else was waiting for me to sit down as well. I scrambled over to my seat, glancing over at Tony's shaking figure- that guy had the nerve to laugh at me in my time of need!? Despicable.

Mr. Way then continued his explanation on shading and why it is important.

As if nothing had happened.

He's not human.

Today I made a list, the list concluded things that Mr. Bostwick and I shall do whenever I go over- just to get to know him better, I've got no ulterior motives, none at all. So far, all I've been able to come up with are these:

' 1. go to pizza and a movie to see what genre he's into

2. hang out at the mall, to see what he's into...and maybe find out his size in clothing for christmas and birthday reasons

3. go to an amusement park to see if he's afraid of heights

4. visit a fancy restaurant, gotta know what a man wants to eat '

And...that's all I've got. Alright, maybe I am trying to monopolize Mr. Bostwick, but can you really blame me? I just really want to know his ways. He's old- but handsome! I've noticed that they're all very good looking, makes me feel like I'm just...eh. I mean, I'm not ugly, but I'm not as beautiful as they are either.

Now, the paper that was in my hands has just been snatched away from me by some hoovering shadow. I peered over my shoulder, being met with none other than the Lord's son himself. (he's referring to his dad as some kind of god)

Kellin's eyes scanned the paper, eyebrows furrowing together in confusion, "Are you planning a date for us?" he asked, sounding unsure of himself.

I jutted out my bottom lip, taking the paper away from him quickly, "What makes you think I'm planning a date...?" I asked. Seriously, not everything is about you, Kellin.

He sighed, "Well, aren't those things that couples do together? Like, for dates..." the further into his sentence he got, the redder his face got. It was an amusing sight.

"They are?" I asked, he nodded, "Oh, but see I'm not planning on doing these things with you, if that's what you were thinking," I spoke absentmindedly, not really paying attention to how bad all of this sounded.

Kellin's arms dropped to his side, "Are you serious?" he asked, sounding hurt, "Who're you planning on doing all of that with?" he looked up at me with wide, glum eyes.

I shot him a questioning look, "Kellin, if I tell you, you're just going to try and stop it," I chuckled, "This person's important, okay?" I patted his shoulder, folding up the piece of paper and walking away.

It wasn't until I was a good, fifteen-ish steps away that I realized how everything I'd said was enough to be misunderstood.

Especially when you're in a relationship with another guy...and the paper is mentioning another guy.

I turned around quickly, getting ready to explain myself, but when I turned he was gone.

Nice going, buddy
