The Pledged Passerine [2]

As the sight of the mountains and trees fades,

the little sparrow gets closer and closer to its master.

The sparrow looks to where a beam of sunlight shines down.

It casts such an ethereal aura around the castle that lies ahead.

Made of purecilen, a resource that

ancestors believed to symbolize

the essence of a true Virideian,

its smooth exterior

glimmers brilliantly in the light.

This is the sparrow's cue to swoop down;

this is where its master resides—

the Castle of  Viridity.
