Kenny smiled as he moved through the dancing party guests. When he found who he was looking for, he wrapped his arm around her from behind."Hey baby." He said kissing her neck and swaying her to the music.
"Do you see her?" Toni asked looking towards the door.
He let out a sigh. She had been waiting on their oldest daughter since the party started.
"She's not going to make it. She sends her love." Kenny said. He had just gotten a text a few minutes ago.
She turned in his arms, "What? I understand she's her own woman now, but she could at least show up to our anniversary party. Spend some time with us or something."
"Let's not dwell on that. Let's just have a good time with the people who did show up." He said. He pecked her lips, "Come on, dance with me."
She couldn't help the smile that crept up on her face after seeing his goofy dance moves.
He spun her around, "Cheer up, Trent is here with Melanie."
"Ugh."
He pinched her butt, "Be nice."
"I'm sorry but I don't like her." She whined.
"You don't know her."
"I know I don't like her."
"You just have to deal with it just like I have to deal with that little boy Aiden. Who does he think he is holding my baby's hand?" Kenny voiced looking over at the two kids sitting on the stairs.
"They're 10 Ken. You don't have to worry about Karsyn, that's the most they'll do." She chuckled.
"Nah he tried to sneak in a kiss the other night. I almost went to jail." He said. She shook her head as he huffed, "Where's our good child?"
Toni looked around, "Trevor!"
"Yes mommy?" The 4 year old asked running up to them.
"Dance with me." She said pushing Kenny to the side.
Kenny frowned, "What?"
"Sorry daddy." They said in unison as they started dancing. He waved them off going to find something to drink.

I poured myself some wine before going to stand with Trent. He chuckled at Trevor showing Toni his Micheal Jackson moves.
"I can't believe he's about to be 5 already." Trent said.
"I know and your mother still loves him more than me." I said shaking my head as he laughed.
"I can't wait til Mel and I have our chance."
I raised my brows, "It's that serious between you two?"
He gave me a nervous smile,"Yeah, I think I'm in love."
"If that's really the case, then I'm happy for you."
"You think mom will come around?"
I blinked a few times. Getting Tone to like this girl will be like pulling teeth. I know deep down she feels like Melanie is stealing Trent from her.
"She will. She's just in a funk because you guys are all growing up fast and soon you won't need us anymore. It already seems like Kira doesn't." I said.
Trent shook his head, "She's got this new boyfriend...I'm not feeling him."
"Of course not, you're her brother. I taught you to hate every guy she dates."
"No seriously. Something about him doesn't sit right with me."
I shrugged, "Well I find out whenever we meet him."

The party was dwindling down almost everyone except our family was gone.
I walked to the staircase,"Karsyn, it's time to say goodnight."
"Goodnight." She said lowly to Aiden.
"Goodnight Karsyn. Text me." He said as they hugged.
"I will-"
"Tomorrow." I said.
Aiden nodded, "Bye Ms. Toni."
"Bye Aiden."
He left as I looked at Karsyn who was staring at the boy like he was going to disappear. I shook my head as we walked upstairs together.
"Isn't he the sweetest? We're going to get married." She blushed.
"That's a big commitment for two soon-to-be fifth graders."
"I know but we really love each other." She stated.
"Sweetie you don't even know what love is."
Karsyn stopped at the top of the stairs, "Yes I do, it's you and daddy. You two love each other. You say it all the time."
"But we're adults. Look, I'm not saying you don't love Aiden. I just don't think you love him the way grownups love each other." I said finding it hard to rebuttal her argument. I'm glad she admires our relationship but she's too young to be in love, "Look, it's time for bed."
"Oh come on, why do I have to go to bed the same time Trevor does? He's the baby, not me." She whined.
"I'm not a baby!" Trevor yelled passing by with his teddy bear. I chuckled as Karsyn looked at me.
I sighed, "Fine, 30 more minutes. Don't tell daddy."
"Okay." She said with a smile.

Myles helped my very pregnant sister to her feet. I looked on trying not to laugh.
"Okay, we're gonna head out. Happy anniversary guys." Myles said.
"Thanks Myles." Toni said joining us.
"Come on Malia." Claire said to my niece.
"Aww man. Bye Trevor." She said waving.
"Bye." Trevor said sitting at the top of the stairs as if he wasn't suppose to be in bed.
"Bye auntie Toni and uncle Ken." Malia said hugging my leg. She's adorable.
"Bye my favorite niece." I said hugging her back.
"She's your only niece." Claire said.
"Shut it."
She gave me the finger before hugging Toni, "Bye girl."
"Bye, and bye little MJ." Toni cooed rubbing her belly.
Trent walked up to us, "We're gonna go too."
Toni pushed me out of the way to hug him, "Bye my honey bear."
"Ma, come on." He groaned receiving all 20 kisses she gave him. Melanie and I held in a laugh seeing how annoyed he was, but deep down he's still a mama's boy.
"Drive safe." I told them as they left. I locked the door behind them.
"Have you heard from Kira?" Toni asked.
"Not since earlier, maybe she'll show up to Sunday dinner tomorrow." I told her.
"Yeah maybe." She said lowly.
"Enough about her. It's still our anniversary." I said inching towards her.
"You think I came down dressed like this for nothing?" She asked opening her robe revealing the black leather lingerie she was wearing.
"You bad girl..." I trailed off chasing her upstairs.
