Lianna was in the middle of getting herself and Lehlanii ready, when the phone started ringing. Halting her moving she grabbed it, seeing that it was Langston.
"Yes Langston?" She asked putting lotion on her legs.
"Just making sure you was up. I don't need Miara coming to me crying about how you stood her up."
She rolled her eyes at his dramatic antics, she was pretty sure that Miara wouldn't cry if she didn't show up to their sit down.
"Whatever, are you still getting Lanii Bug today?"
"Yeah, after the doctors appointment."
"You find out the gender today right?" She asked making sure that was what he told last time they had spoke. They were working on trying to rebuild their friendship.
"Mhmm. Why don't you send Bug with Miara and she'll bring her to the doctors office." Langston suggested.
Lianna mugged the phone as if he was there in person, he might've trusted Miara. But that didn't mean she did. "You might trust her, but I don't; so that a definite no."
"Mhmm." He grumbled.
She packed Lehlanii's bag, making sure to grab her favorite Bratz Doll to keep her occupied. If she didn't Lehlanii would throw a tantrum resulting in an ass whooping from her mother.
"I might be a few minutes late, so can you let her know that?"
"Why?"
Smacking her lips, Lianna finished getting herself ready. "I have to drop Rebel off to school, I promised her I would." She told him.
"Oh okay."
Lianna knew that Rebel and Langston hadn't really been speaking to one another after what happened at Thanksgiving dinner. Even after they apologized, they barely spoke. Which was odd for them. Rebel had told her that he really had hurt feelings, and wanted to give him space. So she's been staying with her grandmother.
"You miss her, don't you?"
Langston sighed over the phone. "Yeah man."
"Just talk to her LJ. You really hurt her feelings, that girl see's you more as a father than a brother."
"I don't even know where to start." He told her.

"Look, pick her up from school today, have a talk with her. And dead the issue."
"It's weird for y'all not to speak, y'all like two peas in a pod." She chuckled.
He chuckled as well, admitting that Lianna was right. "Aight man. Just tell her I'm gon pick her up today and I'll take it from there."
"Okay. Talk to ya later."
"Peace." He hung up the phone.

"Hey Re." She spoke.
"Hey Lianna. Hey Bug."
Then silence took over the car. Lianna looked over at Rebel seeing that she had a permanent frown etched onto her face.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing." Rebel mumbled sipping her smoothie.
"Okayyy. So uh, I spoke with Langston today."
Rebel looked over at her waiting for her to finish. Not being able to talk her brother was taking a toll on her, little did she know it was taking a toll on him as well. This was the longest had went without really talking each other. Whenever he visited their grandmother she made sure to stay her room until he was gone. And him not wanting to invade her privacy—Langston never bothered to speak either.
"And what'd he say?"
"He misses you." Lianna told her.
Scoffing she looking out of the window, feeling tears at the brim of her eyes. "Hmph."
"He wants to pick you up from school today."
"Whatever. Thanks for the ride."
"You're welcome, I love you Re." Lianna said locking the doors so that she couldn't get out.
Trying her hardest not to smile, she finally cracked. "I love y'all too. Now unlock the door before I'm late."
Unlocking the door Lianna watched her until she inside of the school before pulling off.

Walking into the restaurant hand in hand with her daughter, Lianna looked around for Miara. Spotting her near the back, she made her towards her.
"Hi."
"Hello."
She sat down making sure Lehlanii was settled before placing her attention on her. If it was up to her, Lianna would've waited a little longer to have this sit down. But with the birth of Miara's baby around the corner it needed to happen.
"So what did you want to talk about?"
Miara nervously moved around in her seat. For some reason being in the same space as Lianna, made her nervous. "Well I just wanted us to get to know each other, being that our children will be siblings. And if Langston and I do stay together; I more than likely will be around Lehlanii."
