Her Story pt. 1 - A Perfect Story

"Happy Birthday darling!" Said the old man gleefully

"Wow! Gifts!" She smiled as wide as she can possibly smile.

"Look at her, your spoiling her again."

"It's okay madam, aren't you happy seeing her happy like that?" he put his arm around his wife and both of them eyed Ji-hye who were busily opening all of his gifts.

"Of course I am, it's just that she's not a kid anymore. Jihye's 15 now"

"She'll be forever my baby."

They were a family of three, a strict mom, an all-giving dad, and an only daughter that they treasure the most. They we fortunately rich, but despite that they were unlike those stingy, selfish, and arrogant tycoons that look down on people. They have their own charities especially with those helping abandoned children. The reason why they only have one child is because the mother has a problem on her ovaries, having a child is a miracle that is why Ji-hye was an angel, a gift from the heavens. They like helping people out, just say your concern and they will try their best to help you. That is why the Yoo family was loved by a lot of people.

This scene is not unusual during the 7th of July, since it was Jihye's birthday the scenario would always be Mrs. Shin scolding her husband Mr. Yoo for spoiling Ji-hye, but at the end of the day both will end up spoiling their beloved one. That's why for Ji-hye it was one of her most favorite day of the year next to Christmas and first fall of snow.

With this, you could only predict that they are a perfect family.

"Appa, where is Jiyong-oppa?" She asked

"He is on his way"

Kwon Jiyong and her probably grew up together like literally together. They have 4 years age gap, he always makes her happy, smile, and laugh. She developed a crush for him and he also has the mutual feeling. They never said that they are dating but deep inside they know that they are attracted to each other.

Kwon Jiyong is one of those abandoned child by his parents because they were not ready for responsibilities. Mr. Yoo found him the smartest among everyone on his batch, amused he trained him for business then ended up working on their company. During his childhood days until today he was staying in the Yoo's residence, and that's how they met. Ji-hye being friendly and all, introduced herself automatically to the young Jiyong. They began playing games together, then suddenly he started protecting Ji-hye, and unconsciously he was attracted to her unconditionally, he always have that feeling that he should always be there for her whatever happens.

Jihye was the happiest person on earth she thought, she thought that her life was perfect. She was thankful and she prayed everyday that this life would be forever, complete, with her Jiyong-oppa who always takes care of her, her mom that molds her into a modest and educated person but loves her to death, and of course her father, her father that loves her unconditionally, that tolerates her even she broke a piece of utensils from their china set, hugging her when she feels bad.

It was perfect, it was definitely perfect.

FUNFACT: You noticed that even though Jihye's parents are married they have different surname? In Korea when they marry the wife will not change her surname but the child she bears will have the father's surname.
