Tide

She wanted to be a girl on fire
Several eyes says she's a beauty
With her  graceful  catwalks
Raising her head with dignity
She laughed at others who lost theirs and even pitied some.

So bold and full of confidence
She overlooked her flaws
Putting herself in others shoes
Wishing to be free.

She felt she was like a bird and n a cage
Waiting for an opportunity
Any one that comes her way
Without considering the pitfalls.

Day in day out,she watched them
Their lives seems blest and fun to her,
Hers was boring and annoying.

She wanted to be her
Someone who loves moving
Feeling the air outside
But alas!it wasn't for her.

So she decided to get it her way
Staying inside was slowing killing her
Moving with tide was her dream
She was happy yet sad.

Everyday activities was fun
The laughing,chit chat,the attention
The observation was intoxicating.

Drawing her steadily, slowly,
Unknowly,she wanted more.
"It's no big deal"she thought
Ignoring the little nagging in her heart.

She was crazy for nothing worth her.
Was it craziness or madness?
The persuasion intensified
And she lost it.

That little nagging persisted
No more was it little
For it pounded hard
Leaving her in broken
She's just like others, she couldn't raise her head again
She feels something she wasn't
She feels empty and stupid
Few hours of pleasure
Left behind rolls of guilt, fear and regrets.
Painstakingly she picked up the pieces of what she destroyed
But alas!her gem wasn't there again.
