"Alright, practice is over for today!"

I stood up along with Yachi and Kiyoko, beginning to help clean the gym. I pick up a random volleyball on the ground, beginning to toss it in the air then catch it in my hands.

"Good work today Suga!"

I froze once I heard the familiar mascular voice speak. My eyes adverted to the dark haired captain, who was speaking to his teammate.

I admired the third year as I watched him happily converse with his friend. Daichi...He's so cool. Everyone on the team listens and respects him. I wish I had that..

"[Y/n]..Earth to [Y/n]!"

I blink a few times before looking beside me, seeing the short blonde first year looking up at me. "You gonna put the ball in the cart or..?"

"O-oh, right! Sorry" I apologized to Yachi as I quickly tossed the volleyball in the cart. Kiyoko walked beside me, looking at where my gaze once was.

"Checking out the captain again?" Kiyoko questioned, a hint of teasing in her voice. "I-I was not!" I protested, crossing my arms over my chest.

"You should tell him that you like him! You two would make a cute couple!" Yachi encouraged as she walked on the other side of me. Kiyoko nodded, "I agree"

I sigh, shaking my head, "Nah, I don't see why he would like me" Before the two females could reply, I quickly grabbed my belongings and exited the gym.

As I walked alone, my thoughts began eating at me like always. Telling me I was nothing, pathetic, a burden, and much more.

I clutched the strap of my bag as I felt tears brim the corner of my eyes. I wish the thoughts would just stop. I wish I wasn't so insecure or anxious all the time..

The thoughts subsided as I stopped walking and turned around, my stomach churning at the sight of the third year running towards me.

"D-Daichi! Hey!"

I greeted as I quickly wiped away my tears and smiled the best I could. "Is there something you need?" I asked the male, ever so slightly tilting my head.
