The end of what seemed to be a long day to Maya had finally arrived.

Maya made one last stop to her locker before she left home.

"Hey" said a deep yet soothing voice.

Maya turned around, to her "surprise" it was Miles.

Maya seemed somewhat happy that it was Miles.

"Maya ok look, you don't have to respond but hear me out. I apologize for everything. From the scare I gave you, to what you had to see go down, and...and I know that words aren't enough to cover up for what I put you through but I want you to know that I'm truly sorry. Extremely sorry."

Maya smirked at him.

"Hey, haha there's cute stuff." Miles laughed.

"Anyways Maya, I want to be more open to you about everything. I'll tell you my feelings for everything and I just really really really really want to make things right between us. I want another chance and I'm willing to fight for that because I'm not letting you go any time soon." said Miles.

"How about you tell me what you're feeling now?" asked Maya.

"At this moment? I feel extremely lucky and blessed that we're both here...communicating at last. Maya, I am deeply in love with you and I've never felt this way before. I'm not ready to let go of us.... ever. This is something special that I will hold onto forever, together or not, you'll always be on my mind."

"My dad's campaign is taking over, get home safe."

Miles stared at Maya.

He leaned in and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Miles left the school and went home.
